Winter break has begun.
Erin left her job in the bar and found a new one, a day shift clerk at 7/11 convenient store.
Every afternoon after her work, JK is picking her up and making their way to meet Jimin and Seulgi for their rehearsal. The show will be on the 2nd week of January and they still have a month to practice.
One session, Erin is taking a lot of mistakes with the choreo and their trainor Hoseok starting to get annoyed.
Hoseok: Haist!! (with his 2 hands on his waist). What's with you Erin..
Erin: I'm sorry oppa...
Hoseok: (left a sigh) Maybe you're just tired... Ok guys let's just call this off for tonight..
JK starting to get worried.. As soon as Hoseok left the studio, he asked her what's the matter..if she's alright.. She just shrugged her shoulders and said.. "Maybe Hoseok oppa is right.. I'm just tired.."
" It's still early yet, how about we'll have dinner together .." Jimin suggests..
" Yeah... there's a new opened samgyeopsal house in just a few blocks from here.. why don't we try it.." Seulgi added.
JK holds his tummy as he already hears it rumbling..
JK: " Erin, can we go with them? I think I'm hungry.."
Erin: Sure... let's go..
While having their dinner...
Erin was still restless and keeps on glancing on her phone... Later, her phone rings. She excused herself and answer her phone outside the restau.
JK already suspecting something is wrong while he kept on glancing at her from the glass wall next to their table.
When she came back on her seat beside JK...
JK: Are you sure babe are you alright?
Erin: (looking sad but trying to put up a smile on her face) Hmmmm.. Don't worry I'm alright. It's my dad who just called.."
She then turns to everyone...
Erin: Guys... I'm sorry... I really love to bond with you tonight but, allow me guys..I need to leave first. (and she turns to JK looking straight to his eyes) .. I need to catch the last bus trip.. can I?
JK: (taking a deep breath) taking a last trip to where?
Erin: Home in Gwangju. It's an emergency with my sister. My dad needs me.
JK: I'll go with you.
Erin: (shaking her head) No need.. Please don't bother. Just take me back to my boarding house, I'll get my stuffs.
JK: No.. allow me please. I insist..
Erin: But.... (before she continues JK put his index finger on her lips to shut her)
JK: Look Erin, I think we can reach earlier if we take my car. And beside its late already I won't let you travel alone this late. You will kill me with worries.
Erin: But its snowing... The roads are too slippery. Dangerous to travel by night.
JK: I'll be extra careful. Don't worry. Trust me.. And I want to meet your family anyway.
Suddenly they were interrupted by Jimin. Both Jimin and Seulgi were staring at them.
Jimin: Guys...enough being cheezy in front of us already. C'mon Erin just let JK go with you.
Seulgi: (laugh) leave them alone Jimin-ssi..
Erin: (sigh!!) Alright then... just promise me to be careful on the roads. Then shall we go now?
Then JK opens his wallet to pay their bills but Jimin stopped him saying it's his treat. Then they excuse themselves leaving the two on the table.
Seulgi & Jimin: Be careful guys....( as soon as JK and Erin left the restau ).
Later.......
They arrived safely at a Hospital in Gwangju after more than 3 hours road travel and it's already past 12mn. Visiting hours is already over, Erin was just looking at her sleeping sister in the glass window outside her room, with JK behind her when her father came. Erin introduced JK to her father and JK politely greeted him. Mr. Young nodded at him but his facial reaction were blank. Erin then asked JK to give her a moment with her dad alone. JK then agrees and said he'll just wait downstairs in the waiting lobby, then he left the two.
Mr. Young and Erin find themselves a seat beside the patient's room door.
Mr. Young: (starts sobbing) Chaerin, she is getting worst day by day.
Erin can't help herself and cries too embracing his father. Then Erin took an envelope from her bag and gave it Mr.Young.. But Mr. Young refuses to accept it at first.
Mr. Young: " No.. Erin, I cannot take that anymore...it's your savings. I'm your father I'll find a way. It's my fault that your sister is here..
Erin: No appa.. It's not your fault. Just please take it for now.. I'm alright.. I still have some.
We can get through this appa.. (then she stood up to looking at her sister).
" Chaerin, whoever cause this to you..I curse them, they'll gonna pay for this.." (holding her fists).
Meanwhile....
JK stayed on the waiting lobby. He lays down on a row of vacant seats and he falls asleep. Suddenly he was awaken when felt something hot landed on his cheek.
Then he saw Erin holding 2 cup ramen seating beside him.
Erin: Sorry to wake you up baby... Want something hot for your tummy before we go back to Seoul.
JK: (Took the ramen. Check its watch. It's already 4am)
" You really want to go back now? Don't you want to see your sister when she wakes up? "
Erin: I'd like too but Wendy cannot take my shift today. They have a family reunion.
JK: Ok then, lets finish this ramen then we'll go.
They traveled back to Seoul right away.
Arriving in Seoul, Erin immediately reports on her duty. She was too tired and sleepy but she's really trying to pull herself up until her off. While JK was knocked down on his bed.. Then his phone keeps on ringing.. When he gets up to see his phone, its Taehyung calling.
JK: Shit!! I forgot....( then he pressed answer )
TH: Where you bro, the session is about to start...
JK: I'm so sorry bro, I guess you'll be doing this alone today.. I'm too exhausted with Gwangju travel whole night with Erin. I'm off today..
TH: What.... But bro...
Before Tae was able to continue, JK shut his phone off and goes back to sleep.
On the other hand Taehyung was so pissed off. But he got no choice but to do the photo session of a wedding entourage alone.
Later....
Erin off from her job, when she arrives at her boarding house, she was shocked to see her things outside and her land lady starts nagging kicking her out because she wasn't able to pay her rent for several months already. She is pleading for another chance from her land lady but she won't allow anymore and before she was able to take her belongings, the new tenant to occupy her space came.
She tried to call JK if he could help her find a new place to stay but she cannot contact him. She managed to go back at the convenient store to ask Wendy if she can stay at her house but Wendy said as much as she wanted she can let her stay but her relatives are staying at their house for a week and she don't think that was a good idea. She also can't stay with Seulgi, because she is also too just temporary staying with her aunt. She got no choice, she is too tired already. Then she found herself standing at JK's apartment front door along with her luggage. Then finally decided to press the doorbell three times. JK open the door wearing his bathrobe still drying his hair with a towel from a shower.
JK: Erin? (surprised)
Erin out her fatigue, she collapses right in front of JK and he quickly catches her.
