Bakugo leaned back and pressed the back of his head against the cool wood of his dorm door. He felt tears sting the back of his eyes as for the first time in what felt like forever, he let himself cry. He had always known he was incapable of being loved but he could love and he thought he had. Todoroki had asked him out 3 months ago and Bakugo had said yes. He thought that maybe, just possibly, there was someone who could see past his rude demeanor and love him. He had tried to improve, to be worthy of Todoroki's love. He had stopped yelling at everyone and even tried to be kinder to Midoriya, he cursed less and tried to be a good boyfriend. The first month was amazing and Bakugo had never felt happier, but after around 7 weeks Shoto had become more distant and always seemed busy, Balugo had assumed it was because of studying and hanging out with friends. Not that he had been sneaking around with midoriya! So when he overheard midoriya saying " Shoto, you have to either end it with kacchan or with me" it was like a crushing weight thrown unto him. He turned the corner and said "don't worry, about that Deku, because as of now Shoto is single, I hope you two are happy together." he didn't scream it or even threaten them by lighting up small explosions. He just said it with an expression that held no emotion. As Todorkoi and Midoriya stared at him with wide eyes he left. He had walked in silence past most of the class and had ignored their calls to join them. His thoughts were interrupted by a loud knock on the door "Bakugo I know you're in there. Can you come out so we can talk?" it was Todoroki "I'd really not talk to you right now icy-hot, can you just leave me the fuck alone?" he heard a sigh and footsteps. A few moments later he heard more footsteps and another knock. "Bakugo?" the other voice said."I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE ME ALONE YOU DAMN HALF AND HALF BASTARD!!!" "Bakugo, this is Kirishima, are you ok?".
Kirishima didn't get an answer but he could hear Bakugo's sobs and he had seen Todoroki walking off looking somewhere between angry and apologetic, so he had come to make sure that his best friend, not to mention crush, was ok."Bakugo, please let me in" he said. As the door slowly opened he got a look at his friend's tear-stained face, he pushed the door closed and rushed forward and hugged him. Surprisingly Bakugo hugged back and gripped Kirishima's shirt as he cried into his shirt. It broke Kirishima's heart to see the strong, ever-confident, persevering Bakugo Katsuki break down and cry like a child. After a few minutes of crying the tears turned into sniffles and bakugo, let go of Kirishima and sat down on his bed, "what happened?" Kiri asked, his concern reaching his voice and face. "Todo was cheating, w-with Deku. and he wanted t-to just TALK!" tears started to flow from his eyes as he told Kirishima what he had seen. Kirishima couldn't help but start to get mad at Todoroki, Kirishima knew that Bakugo had wanted to keep their relationship a secret and that he wanted to go slowly. He could hear the fights in his dorm. He knew why bakugo was very touchy, something Todoroki didn't like. But Kiri knew it was because he wasn't used to having friends so he wanted affection even if he didn't show it. And seeing his crush sitting there, with tears rolling down his face and his knees pulled up to his cheeks. Before he could process what he was doing he leaned over, wrapped him in a hug and kissed the top of his head and said "Just forget that jerk, he's not important" instead of agreeing Bakugo just shook his head and said "But he's the only one who I thought could love me, and he never did!" Kirishima turned Bakugo to look at him and said very seriously, "He's not the only one who could love you Katsuki" Bakugo turned red as he felt a pair of lips softly against his own. When they moved apart Bakugo whispered softly "I love you to Kirishima" "then, why did you date him?" "because I thought you would never love me back." they softly looked into each other's eyes. They embraced each other once more. Sharing soft kisses and cuddling until the next day.
