It had only been 5 days, 5 DAYS! but I felt dead. why? I was used to having little to no sleep for over a month. It was probably because I was used to getting a good amount of sleep. surprising I know, Shinso Hitoshi getting a good amount of sleep, but since Neito and I got together I've slept better having him stay up with me and help me sleep. but hero work doesn't always let that happen, usually, it's just a few nights but 5 nights ago he was sent to America to help with new villain activity. It hasn't even been that long but I already feel more tired than ever. what would Neito think? He would be so upset knowing this. I had called the past 4 days and I smiled and pretended I had slept fine, but I was so tired. I probably would have fallen over or gotten hurt if I hadn't had the day off. It was now 11:57 and Monoma should have gotten off his night patrols and probably be up, well it couldn't hurt to call right?

I watched as the phone rang, once, twice, thr- And he had picked up! "hey love" just the sound of his voice was enough to get rid of some of the tension in my shoulders. "Hey"

" ...'Toshi, why haven't you been sleeping?"

"was it that obvious?" I said, damn I thought it he wouldn't be able to tell!

" I know you too well, love. But seriously it looks like your about to keel over"

"I- I just miss you." Dammit, I thought I wasn't going to tell him! "It's not the same without you and your warmth"

"awe 'Toshi" I look back at the screen and he was grinning cheekily "I miss you too! Only a few more days, wanna call till you fall asleep? would that help?"

what did I ever do to deserve him? God, I love this asshole.

"y-yeah"

So he did we talked for over an hour and I fell asleep to his rants about some jerk he had to work with. he is so cute.

When I woke up I felt more refreshed than I had for the last 5 days. As I stumbled out of bed to feed out cats, asshole and Dobby I couldn't help but smile softly as I remembered last night. God, I missed him. It was nice to feel like he was there. I was surprisingly productive that day, considering I had mostly been moping. I called my dads and got some more food.

That night we did the same thing as before and it nice knowing he would do all this for me! I crossed another day off the calendar, 8 more days! for the rest of his trip, we called until I fell asleep, making jokes and stories about our day. On the last day, I decided to meet him at the airport. As I saw him I rushed over.

"Neito!" I said as I hugged him "Hey love, how're you?" "better now that I have my asshole of a partner" "hey, you choose to marry this asshole, so that's on you!"He said with a small, but adorable pout. "ok, ok, you got me there" I snickered. he smiled as we got his luggage and went to the car.

"Ah, god those seats are the worst, I'm so tired!" He complained, slumping into the seat next to me as I started the car.

As we fell onto the bed and cuddled up together I could only think about how lucky I was to have Neito, I linked out hands and gently rubbed his finger with my thumb as he smiled sleepily and began to drift off. I fell asleep soon after with the warmth and weight of my lover right next to me.

A/n: this was based on the song Insomnia by daya. This is now gonna be dedicated to my friend, who introduced me to the song and reminded me to write this because I kinda forgot about this Oneshot. I love my crack ships and if you read and liked this please vote and comment!
