Dangerous Feelings

Pan was devastated when he found out she left. He felt like a failure. He hated the way he acted towards her. The terrible things he had said to her, the things he had done to her, the times she was locked in a cage or running from her fears. Everything he did was horrible. Robbie would have never acted like that. Robbie would have been more caring. Was he a better person when he was Robbie? Maybe it was about time he tried to change his ways. If he could act the way he used to maybe he could convince Lynn that he was worth loving again. It was worth a try. But it wouldn't be easy to try and change back to the nice gentleman he was.

After a while of hiding from everyone and pouting, he decided it was about time to head out of his treehouse and see the boys.

He walked out and everyone around the fire cheered to see him up.

"Pan!" One of them called. "Get over here! We are telling spooky stories!"

He laughed a little and walked over to join them. Throughout the night everyone was surprised at the way he was acting. He seemed like he was acting... nicer? Is that even possible for him?

Felix helped Pan work on his mannerisms and how to go back to being the guy Lynn originally fell in love with. Pan realised he wanted her more than he wanted the power he had in Neverland. It took him a while but having Lynn and Rocky around made him realise what he truly wanted in life. Now he was going to do whatever it took to get back what he had lost. Felix enjoyed helping Pan in this quest because he could tell him what to do without getting in trouble. It was basically Felix's dream come true.

They ran through scenarios and what the right response would be. They practiced smiling gently instead of giving and evil grin. Pan remembered how Robbie acted and the kind of person he used to be. Soon, they had Pan in pretty good shape to try and get his girl back.

One afternoon Pan was sitting on a rock near camp when Felix walked up to see if he was okay.

"It just doesn't feel real." Pan explained. "It doesn't feel like I am who I used to be. It feels like I am putting on a big act." He sighed heavily.

"Maybe... maybe you need to get away from Neverland." Felix suggested. "Being here always made you a different person. I think it's about time you put Neverland in your past and think to the future."

"You mean, I should leave Neverland? And go where?" Pan looked down.

"Back to Pittsburgh, where you are from." Felix looked at him. "I have a feeling the power on this island is keeping who you are on the inside locked away. The island doesn't want you to remeber who Robbie was. If you get away maybe your memories before you were Pan will be clearer. Maybe it will be easier for you to be your old self again."

Pan looked around thoughtfully.

"I have depended on this place since I was a small child. I can't just leave it forever."

"You won't." Felix promised him. "Neverland will always be apart of you. But now it's time to find the next step in life. And maybe, if you play your cards right, that next step can be working on a relationship with Lynn."

"You're right Felix." Pan stood up. "I'm ready to move on from Neverland. I'm ready to become the person I was ment to be."

Felix smiled before handing Pan a small amount of pixie dust.

"This will get you where you want to go." Felix promised. "I wish you the best of luck Pan. I really hope you can make something good out of your life."

Pan nodded and then looked around as the boys gathered around to watch him leave.

"We will miss you." They told him. "You were the best leader we have ever followed."

Next thing he knew, he had left Neverland.

...

Lynn and Rocky quickly fit back into life the way it was before they went to Neverland. Lynn's mother and grandmother were so relieved to see they were back. There were many tears shed.

The days were slow and the nights were long. Lynn couldn't help but wonder if he missed her. She wanted to forget him, life would be so much easier.

Lynn went back to work soon after they got back and Rocky started in school. Life was calm and simple again. They lived in a small little house with a quiet little family. And Lynn enjoyed it. But it always felt like something was missing. Or maybe someone.

One evening, Rocky was downstairs watching cartoons with Lynn's mother and Lynn was upstairs in her room reading a book. The book was a sad love story and it had Lynn in tears. Just as she finished a chapter and sat her book down to wipe her tears she heard her phone buzz. She picked it up and spoke into the reciever.

"Hello?"

"Lynn?" A voice asked.

"Who is this?" Lynn asked cautiously.

"Listen, its Pan." He said.

She thought for a moment. 'He hasn't changed.' She thought. 'If he had changed he wouldn't go by Pan anymore'

She was so disappointed.

"What? How are you calling me? Why are you calling me?" She was about to hang up out of fear.

"Just hear me out okay? Please." He spoke slowly. "I finally realised how big of a jerk I have been. I realised how much I miss you and... love you."

Lynn's heart skipped a beat at his words. He just told her that he loved her.

"I've left Neverland. For good. I'm never going back. I want to start over and I'm hoping you will give me one more chance. All I am asking for is for you to meet me for dinner sometime this week. I can explain everything in person and apologize in person. If you don't want to I understand." He stopped to wait for her to say something. She remained silent and in total shock. "Lynn are you there?"

"Yeah..." she said. "You really left Neverland? Is this some kind of joke?"

"No, I'm dead serious." He spoke honestly.

"Well..." Lynn thought through everything. "Okay I'll meet up with you but don't try anything funny, you hear?"

"I promise."

A few minutes later she headed downstairs to see her mother and grandmother. As she walked down the stairs she looked like compleatly flustered.

"What happened?" Grandmother asked. "Are you okay?"

"You guys won't believe this." She started. "I have a date on Friday."

"That's great Sweetie!" Her mother said. "Its been a little while and you could probably use a distraction."

"Here is the unbelievable part," she took a deep breath before looking straight ahead of her. "I'm going out with Robbie."
