___________________________________"EVELYN ALEX RODRIGUEZ GET UP" someone yells in my ears. Who can this be- is it a thief but why would a thief wakes me up and how would he know my middle name an--
Before I can complete my thought I'm pushed over in my bed causing me to land on the marbled floor of my bedroom.
"Why the hell did you do that" I exclaimed, clearly not happy with the fact that my sleep was ruined just because of this unknown guy, I untangle myself from the sheets and face the per-- murderer who killed my sweet sleep!
That's when I find my older brother Tyler looking straight in my eyes, his emerald eyes shining from the sun that's peeking through my curtain.
"Hey" he casually said, like he just didn't ruin my sleep by shoving me down my bed but nonetheless, I forget that I'm supposed to be mad at him and jump in his arms, he stumbled a bit from my sudden action but recovered quickly before we both would've went flying down. I guess being a football player helps in the muscles after all.
"I was just gone for the weekend and you missed me like crazy" he smirks, now sitting cross-legged beside me on the bed which causes me to jump slightly off my position because I have one of those bouncy mattresses.
"Who missed you? I just want my gift!" I partial lied, and even though I'll never admit it to him I did miss him but it's true that I was also waiting for my new dancing costume that I had been drooling over from the day I saw it on one of the online store ads.
"Your elder brother comes 3 days after his tournament and the first thing you ask is about your gift" he asks making a pouty face.
"Well in that case... how was your tournament of tackling people for fun?" I ask with not much hidden sarcasm in my voice. I've never been a fan of violence or confrontation, always going for make peace not war' speech.
"Eve i don't understand why you hate the sport that much, I get it you don't like violence but this is just a sport and every sport has its own rules and faults" he stated matter-of-factly.
"You know exactly why I despise violence!" I deadpan, initiating the end of the conversation.
I think he got the hint that I didn't want to talk about it so he doesn't push it any further and we start talking about how we spent our weekend and anything that comes to my mind and it's then that I realise that I have school tomorrow, technically today, since its 4 am right now and i have round 1 and a half hour to sleep before I have to wake up for school. Even though I don't want this conversation ends I have to sleep in order to not be in groggily mood on the first day back to school of my junior year.
After I say goodbye to Tyler, he goes to his room to change and possibly sleep till I come back from school and I try to sleep back I don't know when I fall asleep but I'm woken up by the most annoying voice in the world: my alarm.
It blares in my ears and I move across my bed to shut it off and go and change into my gym clothes to workout before I dress up for school.
A morning stretch and 20 mins of exhausting workout later I go to my bathroom where I had already chosen clothes to wear to school today. I take a quick cold shower to remove all the sweat and change into a cute off-shoulder floral shirt with black ripped jeans and let my brown hair fall around my waist.
I come down the stairs in time to see my mom place freshly baked muffins on the dining table.
"Good morning mom" I yell about to go and put my shoes on for school when she calls me back.
"Evelyn, first eat your breakfast and then you can go" I sigh and go where she is sitting on the table drinking her coffee.
"Mom please" I plead, hoping for the non existent chance I have to get out of this.
"You have to eat at least 1 muffin in front of me and grab a granola bar for your way to school" she says it in a tone that I know all too well by now means 'you don't argue after this and my point is clear'.
Sighing, I grab a muffin and sit down beside her to eat it and get done with it as soon as I can.
I'm walking back to school with music blasting in my ears when I collide into something hard. I have no idea how to react here it wasn't even my fault-
I'm pulled out of my thoughts when the person grabs me by my arms ...and I can just think one thing
I recognise this touch.
