Is your fate yet to be sealed?

A sunny summer in May, everyone loved the air and loved swimming in the pools and oceans. Although, in Springfield Missouri was far from the ocean and didn't seem quite a lovely place to swim in a pool.
Adrien Michaels, a male who was at the age of eighteen was beginning to move states. From Missouri to Georgia he would spend his time looking out at the land he was passing by. Adrien sighed, he just graduated from highschool and was already moving states. He felt a heavy weight on his shoulders and looked down at his hands.
He wanted to speak but the voice of his mother interrupted him in the process, "So Adrien dear, what type of job will you be getting once we finish packing all of our thing? You can't be living with us your whole life." "Adrien you're eighteen, you could at least spend time with the other kids around the neighborhood. You would always spend your time inside the house. You need to get out more and enjoy yourself," His father added.
"I-I do enjoy myself, I enjoy my time inside the house not outside," He would stutter at the beginning of his sentence. "Even if I do get a job it's not like I'm not gonna get talked about behind my back. Everyone always look at me sideways thinking there is something wrong with me..." He stated hugging himself while looking out the window.
His father and mother both sighed. They continued their drive in silence. Having the curiosity, Adrien started to rummage through his bag looking for something. He would soon find a small walkie-talkie.
He smiled to himself looking down at the object. His father looked at him through the rear view mirror and scoff. Three hours along the drive they would finally arrive at their new home.
"Lift your own things Adrien, Me and your Mother are going to pack the kitchen and living room," His father exclaimed.
"Alright, after I'm done packing I'm looking around town," He stated putting away the walkie-talkie in his pocket. When everything was put away, Adrien's room looked quite bland. His closet was small and his desk was bare. He knew he needed to get more money in order to buy more things.
Adrien had put on a rainbow sweater and black tight jeans. Roughing up his hair and putting on his shoes, he began going down the stairs and into the Kitchen. "H-Hey Mom and Dad I'm going out now, I'll be back around-" He cut himself off to look at his watch. "Around 6:30pm right now its 2:25pm." "You be safe dear," His mother exclaimed. "Don't get in any trouble-," His father shouted.
Beginning his search for a job, Adrien tried looking for a simple job to start off with. He started walking along the side walk and noticed a mansion that looked like it would be in one of those Sherlock Holmes movies. He closely looked at it a spotted something in the window. It looked as if a male.
Feeling slightly weirded out and holding himself, he began walking away from the mansion. He sighed having his shoulders lift from the atmosphere. "What is that place, it looks like is doesn't belong in a place like this," He said shoving his hands in his pockets. Once making it to town Adrien would search for a simple job. He thought the best job to start off was maybe a Coffee Shop.
Not having any other idea where to go, Adrien reluctantly went searching for a near by Coffee Shop. Once concluding his search, he began walking inside a Café. He walked up to the bar and was greeted by a female. She was blonde and had her hair combed to the side with the side combed away was shaved.
"Hello and welcome to Café Capre. How may I take your order?" She asked him doing her job. "Um, Hello I wanted to ask if I may attend a job here?" He was a little hesitant at the moment. Adrien looked down at the female's name tag, "Angelica Jackson." He didn't know he said her name aloud, "What did you say?" The female asked having a slight glare in her eyes.
"M-M-My sincere apologies ma'am I-I was just reading your N-name tag that's all.." Adrien completely messed up his sentence feeling nervous. The female sighed, "At the moment we don't need any more workers. Come back another time, now if you would please go you're holding up the line." Adrien whipped his head back seeing a line form behind him. He moved out the way so they could order their drinks. Adrien sighed and began walking around the town for two hours.
Adrien began getting tired, he was walking home when he noticed the same mansion from earlier. He gulped feeling the atmosphere lay heavy against his shoulders once more. He began walking on the path leading up to the front door, having the courage to stand inches away from the door he began to ring the doorbell. "Ding-Dong Ding-Dong..." The doorbell went off and had an old 1734's vibe.
The door creaked open revealing a male in a butler's outfit, "Hello and welcome to the Devilen Manor please why don't you come in?" The male moved out the way and bowed inviting Adrien inside. Holding his arms, Adrien walked inside and the butler closed the door. Adrien's fate was yet to be sealed at that point.
