From one day to another, an actress went from being loved, to one of the most hated people in the spotlight. She didn't seem to have bad intentions, but an insensitive comment slipped out of her lips by accident after she already had a few glasses of wine and everyone instantly decided that she was a bad person. The bluntness that she was always praised for, it was instantly forgotten and the video of the live broadcast that brought to her demise, gathered more than a million of views overnight.
She apologized for being thoughtless and promised to educate herself on the topic of sex workers, which she unintentionally insulted, but for some people, it still wasn't enough. A group was created against her online and it was quickly gaining a lot of followers. They were making threats since the very beginning, but at one point they started actually executing them and vandalising her car or stalking her sister, so the actress's agency had no choice but to get in contact with detective Yoongi and ask him if he could take care of the problem and get rid of it quietly.
'' I can't imagine having people listening and analyzing every single word that I say, '' I seriously murmured as I trailed after Yoongi. Yoongi asked one of his coworkers to trace the IP address of the person who created the actress's hate page and it brought us to a dingy internet cafe. The computers were filled with people, some of them gaming, others working and there were some students who were charging their phones at the outlets in the corner of the room and arguing over a school project. The room held the scent of cheap ramen, spilled coffee, melted cookies and other foods that you could buy from the vending machines that were just outside the cafe, mixed together with strong perfume and sweat.
'' Don't remind me, '' Yoongi replied and shook his head. '' Some people think that I despise them just because they had the misfortune to cross my path when I was in a bad mood. ''
'' But you do dislike most people. ''
'' You're wrong. I don't care for them. There's a difference between disliking and not caring. Now instead of ignoring their existence like I used to, I have to deal with their attempts to make me change my nonexistent opinion about them, '' the detective grunted in annoyance. '' As if it matters what your coworkers think of you, when you talk to them only when you both happen to go get coffee at the same time. Or at the toilets. Who cares if we're washing our hands in awkward silence? ''
Yoongi stopped at the counter of the internet cafe and asked the worker for information. The young guy instantly knew who we were looking for. The actress's hate group was started by a sex worker, who got offended by her insensitive comment regarding her profession. She had the habit of stopping at the cafe before and after her meetings with a few boys and girls who were encountering each other to talk about their past and try to get over their trauma.
