The next two chapters will be a little different. One chapter will be in Jennifer's POV, and the other will be in Caroline's POV. I couldn't choose which one to do since they would both be just so good. ________________________________________________________________________
Caroline's POV:
I felt myself slowly creep into consciousness. I was in that weird place where you're not asleep, but you're not quite ready to open your eyes.
I feel like I just got run over by a truck...
I stretched out my arms, expecting to have them reach over the edges of a twin bed, but when they didn't, my eyes shot open.
I wasn't in my room.
I was in a perfectly spotless white room with touches of light pink, that looked like it had been decorated by a professional. Sheer curtains in front of a giant bay window, a glossy hardwood floor, different paintings, and other decorations that just made everything perfect.
It was the kind of room every girl dreams of in their fantasies. The kind you could bring your friends into and have an amazing sleepover, and the first they would say when they walked in would be "WOW!" The kind you see in magazines and movies... The kind I knew I didn't have.
I just stared at everything in shock, with my mouth hanging open.
It's beautiful... But how?
I threw the silky powder pink sheets off of me and jumped off the king size bed.
There has to be some kind of clue that'll tell me where I am.
I pulled back the curtains and looked outside at a circular driveway, with a perfectly green, lush, freshly cut lawn.
Looks like I'm on the second floor... And this is a really big house.
A Mercedes, a BMW, and a Cadillac were parked below on a gravel driveway.
Stylish. I thought.
Still not completely convinced this was real, I closed the curtains to explore a little more.
In the back of the room was an open door that led to a bathroom, that was equally as beautiful as the bedroom.
Marble floors and counters, two porcelain sinks, a luxurious shower, a large mirror.
And of course, a toilet.
The counter was cluttered with so many perfumes it just took my breath away! I picked up a bottle of Chanel No. 5 and sprayed it.
"Ow!" It stung my eye, but I smiled at the sweet scent, and at the many others on the counter that I had always begged my mom to buy me just one, but she never did.
We could never afford it.
Next, my eye drifted to a drawer that was slightly opened under the counter, so I opened it all the way to find it full of makeup.
Makeup. I've never used makeup in my life.
I raised an eyebrow at the drawer full of MAC, Dior, and a bunch of different Sephora products.
I took out a little black MAC tube and opened it.
The heck is this?
I inspected it closely. It was wet. And the brush thingy came to a point.
I sniffed it. "Ew."
That didn't smell good at all.
"Oh. That just happened." A smooth black line was now in the middle of my nose.
