People are always really excited to join the Thespian Honor Society, but they fail to realize one key flaw with that plan. In fact, even I didn't think it through until one day, in my excitement, I tried to explain to my parents my new drama endeavor...

I arrived home from school one day, bursting with the knowledge that I had enough thespian points to be inducted into the society in the spring. Barely through the door, unable to hold in my new, enlightened self, I yelled out, "Mom, Dad, I'm going to be a thespian!" Staring at me, they slowly turned, and my mother replied, "Honey, we really respect your life choices, but are you sure that this is the uh... direction you want to go in?" Still with a wide grin across my face, their lack of enthusiasm perplexed me.

"Of course!" I confidently answered, "who wouldn't want to be a thespian?" My parents shared another concerned glance. Slowly it dawned on me, my happiness transitioning to shock...

"Mom, Dad, I said THESpian!"
