Chapter 14

Chase's pov
So it was true that Dante has two daughters but due to family issues is forced to announce one. I am not sure how to feel about that. I thought my family is the only one with complicated issues until i heard Camilla's story.
But how come i never heard any announcement in whatever media about Camilla's disapperance. But i don't want to jump into any conclusions.
"Man i don't know why i accepted to be your lawyer. Sitting there suffocated in this tie and this damn ass suit has got to be worse than being kicked in the balls or any damn ass blue balls,"Luke exclaimed as soon as he saw me while removing his tie.
"Come on, drama queen, stop exaggerating, its not that bad. I mean come on, i wear suits longer than i sleep in my special pajamas and i live. Afterall, anything for mummy kate right?!" i asked teasingly.
"You bet i am only doing this for her. Maybe i will get to be her favourite once more?!" Luke said while smirking.
"Shut up Luke," i retorted.
"You bet on my sexy ass that you gotta put up with my sexy self for as long as i gotta put on them damn ass suit and tie," Luke said.
"Come on Luke, enough cursing for one day. And why are you cursing so damn much. Are you still watching your family drama-court ass thing?! What would mum say. You've been a very bad boy Lukey. "
"Oh, come on. Shut up, you are cursing too. What would mummy Kate say?!"Luke retorted. ,"So what did you find out from the administrator," i asked
"The man claims that a woman brought an unconscious Camilla here. The woman simply bribed the administrator and threatned his life if he ever let Camilla go and did not bother registering her name," Luke said.
" What woman and doesn't the administrator have a description of the said woman?!" i asked.
"The administrator says that he could not remember the woman clearly but he says the woman was beautiful and had dark hair but thats just as far as he says he can remember,"Luke said.
"This information is pretty much useful. Maybe we could use this information to intimidate him that he has to let Camilla out of the facility. Don't you think so?!" i asked Luke.
"It could work since what they basically did is illegal. But i would suggest that once Camilla gets out of here that she does not go home to her parents and stays on the low for sometime. Because clearly someone put her here for some reason and until we know why we should not take a chance," suggested Luke.
Luke had a point. It would be best if i take Camilla under my wing when she gets out of here until i am able to figure out the situation at hand.
" I would also propose to get them out of the hospital sooner. If the administrator is not telling us everything, it would be risky for them to be here any longer. If you agree then i would start organising there release, especially Camilla's then they would be out by the day after tomorrow,"Luke suggested.
"Fine by me but i would need help with house hunting. I would do it myself but since my father paid me a visit i would like to be very careful concerning mum, who knows, he might have me followed," i told Luke.
I can't believe all the information i learnt today. What was the motive behind someone abandoning a girl in such a place. Why did none of her family look for her?! Or did they look for her?! Are they even aware that she is still alive?! There is just too much hidden motive in Camilla's story.
I would like to ask Dante, Camilla's father if he is aware about Camilla's situation but i can't until i know who or what is the threat.
I can't believe i am house hunting right now.
I am looking for a house in the outskirts of the city but secure enough for mum and Camilla. Someone might ask from what am i protecting them and the answer to that is that i don't know. But the fear of the unkwown is much greater than that which is kwown. Atleast for mum i know dad is the major threat but even if he knew i don't think he would do anything too drastic but for Camilla, i don't know the danger and that is what worries me.
I feel like i turned detective overnight. Life indeed has unexpected turn of events.
