☼ chapter one ☾

Felix's POV

I bit the side of my nail as I scrolled through Reddit. It was a slow day of streaming and I didn't really feel like playing any games so I decided to be a reaction Andy and watch any videos that chat suggested. Plus with Overwatch League season two coming up it's better if I take it easy with streaming so I don't get too burnt out when I join a team and have to take part in team practice.

My eyes snapped to my other computer monitor as I heard another donation ring. "Felix check out what this twitch thot had to say about you."

"C'mon man why'd you have to call her.." I began to say before trailing off and slamming my fist on the table. I sat back up in my seat and clicked on the link in the donation, ignoring the comment that donator made.

A Twitch clip titled 'Yoikes' began loading on my screen before a woman playing Overwatch appeared. I instantly recognized her as a player for Shanghai Dragons albeit I had never interacted with her since she joined SD around the same time that I was banned from OWL. Looking at her now though I noticed how pretty she was with her brown skin and long curly hair that draped past her shoulders.

Her voice somehow matched how attractive she was as she began speaking, "..I mean xQc's tank skills aren't bad, the problem is that he's unreliable. Y'know Dallas had to scramble to get a flex player to play tank in the middle of the season just because xQc got banned which lowered their already struggling performance. I just think that his toxicity and unpredictability aren't good for something like the Overwatch League... All I'm saying is that I wouldn't want him on my team." The clip ended there as I just sat staring at the screen trying to come up with a reply that wouldn't get me banned from the Overwatch League for a second time.

I looked at chat to see their reactions before instantly regretting it.

"TRUE LULW"

"that thot doesn't know what she's talking about"

"EL GOBLINO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY PepeLaugh"

"@adeptthebest CALL XQC HE'S CRYING PepeHands"

"D- D- Dude okay, first of all, wh OMEGALUL are you? Like I see you around Overwatch League but I don't know who the fuck you are." I clicked on her Twitch channel, quickly glancing over her information to get a semblance of who she was. From what I could tell she was a fill in main tank for Shanghai and her name was Willow.

"Okay so let me clear this up for her and for all you noobie scrub lords in chat, the Overwatch League is way more complex than any of you think. I get that being banned mid-season is bad a- and I already apologized to everyone about that. However Dallas was prepared for a quick roster change in the case that I was predisposed." I briefly looked at the chat, letting out a breathy chuckle when I saw the 5Heads emotes along side the '???????' comments.

I looked back at the camera as I continued, "So Dallas Fuel didn't have a problem with putting another guy in for main tank—they just didn't, that's not a thing. Now if I'm being honest with you I don't give a fuck if you don't want me on your team okay Willow? Actually I don't think anybody wants to be on your dogshit team anyway. How about you guys not go 0-40 the whole season and then you can talk. M- Matter of fact how about you get off the bench and play a few games before talking shit." I heaved a sigh and slouched in my chair, watching as the chat spammed messages.

I felt regret for losing control and being a dick but Willow touched a nerve that I didn't know I had. I decided for the rest of the night I wasn't going to mention the situation but it was too late as everyone was already talking about it on Twitter.

Over the next week Willow and I subtweeted each other multiple times. Although we never directly called each other out our tweets were specific enough for everyone to know who they were directed towards.
