*Knock, Knock, Knock, Kncok!*
Hermione's mother 'Jean' Rapped her slim, pale fist upon her daughter's bedroom door.

"Get up brat! Hurry up and make breakfast!"
Hermione wasn't all too fond of her parents, and neither were they too fond of her, ever since they found out she was a witch. They used to be nicer, sweeter, kinder, more loving parents, now they despise her, treat her like absolute trash. She's just kind of used to it now. That and getting bullied constantly at Hogwarts for the past six years.

Hermione reluctantly awakens after a mere 3 hours of sleep, and ventures towards her wardrobe to pick out a simple outfit consisting of a plain white t-shirt, blue denim jeans and a pair of checkered vans, keeping her big, bushy hair out of her unblemished face by tying it into a messy ponytail. Finishing up, she trudges her way down the stairs and into the kitchen to start on breakfast.

"Aye, girl! Get me a coffee! And make it quick would ya!?" Her pig of a father spat at his 17 (18 by use of a time turner) year old daughter.
"Yes sir." She replied meekly, as she hurried to get her fathers' morning coffee ready before he and her mother head off for work. Hermione was going into Diagon Alley today for supplies for the new year. She was also hoping to meet up with Harry and Ron. Though she doubted even her only friends wanted anything to do with her outside of school. Nevertheless, she will still make her journey. (As long as she gets back before her parents that is.)

"Girl! I told you to get my fucking coffee!!" The man shouted at the poor girl before proceeding to throw a butter knife her way, covered in butter and jam, hitting her right in her absolute bush of honey-brown hair. Hermione flinched slightly but tried not to show the pain on her face as she turned around, coffee mug in hand, and timidly rest the cup in front of her father, she then turned on her heel to make bacon and scrambled eggs on toast for her mother.

As soon as she had set her mother some breakfast she ventured up to her room to get herself ready for the day. At ten fifteen, her parents left to their jobs as dentists, while Hermione bandaged her freshly cut wrists and thighs then ventured out of the house, and traveled by bus to Diagon Alley. Once there she quickly found Harry and Ron, they seemed to be waiting for her. As soon as she got close enough she greeted them and they went on their way.

A few weeks later Hermione got ready to leave for King's Cross. The day was the same as any other. Dull, boring, and harsh. Not long after that her parents left for work and Hermione finished rapping up her wrists and legs, got dressed as nicely as she could bother to, and caught a bus to Kings Cross Station in order to get to platform 9 3/4. Soon after running through the wall with her luggage, she boarded the train and searched for the nearest empty cart. Once found, she grabbed a potions book, sat down closest to the window, and started reading.

A couple minutes later, Hermione was in the middle of reading up about deadly wiggenwiffers and the multitude of potions and elixirs one could use them in, when the door to her cart slid open revealing Ron and Harry, two of her 'friends', or so she hoped. "Oh, hey Hermione! You wouldn't mind if we sat with you would ya? Everywhere else is full." Asked the grinning ginger sidekick of the chosen one. "Um, no, not at all." The bushy haired witch replied with a slight smile.
