"Jeon Jungkook, age 20, Korean. You lived with your parents and younger sister, as it states here."
The judge at the front of the room spoke with a booming voice, a whisper alone echoing throughout the crowded room.
Lights flashed as news reporters shot hundreds of pictures of Jeon Jungkook standing before the judge."After being ridiculed and embarrassed in front of the press by your father, what was your initial action and reaction following that instance?"
The judge, Judge Marshall, spoke to Jungkook who was shaking in place, just looking up at the man in the chair and behind the obnoxiously large desk.
"I-I don't understand what you mean.."
He spoke gently, nervous as hell as all the eyes in the room were on him.
"It is not a hard question to answer. Simply tell me what you did."
"I did nothing sir.. I just went home afterwards, and took time to recover before leaving my apartment again."
The whole room was silent.
Minutes passed before Judge Marshall gestured for a man to bring in a video recording."I have reason to believe, you are not telling the truth."
He pushed his glasses up the brim of his nose.
"It was discovered that while you were committing this crime, you seemed to have forgotten to check for cameras."
Jungkook was silent, calm, at least he was until the video began to play.
The video, showing what looked like Jungkook, shooting all three of his family members."Proof that you, Jeon Jungkook, are responsible for your mother's, sister's, and Father's death. As we can se-"
"I was framed! That isn't me in the video!!"
Jungkook screamed, panic all over his face.
"Do you have proof you were framed?" Marshall looked down at Jungkook, who was now looking down.
"I do not... But my friends are here! You can ask them where I was the night my family was murdered! I was hanging out with them in the city when this happened!"
Silence again, his voice being the last to be heard for a few moments before Jungkook's friends were brought up to the front.
"Myung-soo Kim, age 23.
Won-sik Jae, age 19,
Hyuk Il, age 20.
The three of you were claimed to be the people who were with Jungkook at the time of his family's deaths. Is this true?"Everyone watched the three young men standing on either sides of Jungkook, everyone, including Jungkook, waiting for them to speak.
These were Jungkook's best friends since childhood, he wasnt worried about them telling a lie, because he really was with them and only them on the day his family was snatched away from his life.
"Well???"
Judge Marshall spoke again, and immediately, they answered.
"No sir."
"I was with my grandmother."
"He and I have never seen each other outside of school"
The entire audience gasped in shock at the three men's words.
Jungkook's expression immediately changed, his heart breaking at the words spoken by the people he trusted his whole life.
Was this really happening???
How?!?
How else could he prove his innocence if the only people he had left to help him, said he was guilty?!
"Then it's settled."
The judge stood up, everyone in the room staring at him and Jungkook.
Jungkook's eyes filling with tears as he hopelessly stared up at him.
"Jeon Jungkook-"
He raised his hand.
"For murdering your Mother, Father, and younger sister-"
Jungkook trembled.
"I pronounce you GUILTY! You are sentenced to 3 lifetimes in prison!"
He slammed the gavel onto the small wooden podium on his desk, causing a loud knock to echo throughout the room.
"Dismissed!"
