Now he's done it! We're BOTH going to die!
Mrs. Speckner glares at Tony and he just stands there and smirks his I'm-better-than-you smirk at her. What the frick is he thinking!? She's going to beat his sorry butt! Then he might just learn some humbleness. Actually that would be great for him. Please continue.
Mrs. Speckner raises her thin eyebrows at Tony and sends him an expectant look. Tony just leans against the hallway wall and crosses his arms. Dirtbag.
"Care to explain yourselves?" Mrs. Speckner asks.
After a minute or two she sighs and shakes her head.
"I don't have all day you know," my old teacher says exasperated.
When there's yet again no reaction from us she then brings out the big guns on me.
"You know I would be happy to send you two to the principal's office so I can get back to my class," she stares into my eyes silently telling me that she's not kidding. "And of course that would give you two more time to talk out this little feud."
My eyes grow as big as bowling balls and my mouth lands on the floor. Tony just rolls his eyes, and makes a large show of it at that. He is either ignorantly brave or is just plain stupid. I'm going with the latter this particular moment.
"B-but th-tha-that p-p-p-prevents-" I start but Mrs. Speckner cuts me off, not wanting to listen to my stuttering.
"You from becoming valedictorian at this high school? Yes, it does do that Brice," she states.
If it's possible, my face falls further. Valedictorian. That's my goal for high school. My mom was valedictorian in her high school class. I want to make proud and show her that I work hard for her. It also helps with college.
I want to get out of this place as fast as I can. To get away from the stupid house I live in, away from my sorry excuse for a father, and away from the painful memories that haunt me. I even skipped a grade and still caught up with everyone else. Doesn't that show how hard I've worked to get that title?
I guess I still haven't proven myself as one of the best students in this class. Maybe I just need to work harder. I also need to stop letting Tony get to me.
"I'm sorry," I say to Mrs. Speckner. "I just let his words get to me and I snapped." Tony smirks victoriously and I hang my head in defeat.
A small price to pay for Mom. He may be laughing now, but we'll see who's laughing in ten years.
"I'll let it slide this time Brice," my eighty year old language arts teacher tells me. "But keep that temper of yours in check."
I smile great fully and thank her. I'll try. The scariest teacher at this school then turns to the 'bad boy'. He doesn't even flinch at her icy look.
"And?" She asks Tony. He raises an eyebrow and gives her a questioning look.
"And what?" Tony cockily asks. And that confirms my earlier theory of him being just plain stupid.
"Do you have something you want to say?" Mrs. Speckner asks in a flat tone.
Tony gives her a lopsided grin that screams arrogance and cocks his head to the side.
"Nope." he says, popping the 'p'. Defiance and indifference rolls off his voice in that single word.
Mrs. Speckner shakes her head and sighs loudly. He's in for it now.
"Mr. De Luca. Principal's office." Mrs. Speckner commands. When Tony doesn't move she points her finger down the hall and glares at him.
"Now!" she barks harshly. Tony shrugs his shoulders with a smirk. Mrs. Speckner turns and walks to her classroom.
She opens the classroom door and walks in. But before the door closes she sticks her head out and adds, "And I will see you in detention tonight Mr. De Luca."
And with that she closes the door. The bell is about to ring so I start to follow my teacher. Thinking better of it I stop and turn back to Tony.
He's starring at me with a smug look on his face and the same lopsided smile he gave to Mrs. Speckner. I'm a few yards away from him. I can see the mark that's forming on the bottom of his jaw from me socking him. That's going to leave a giant bruise. I return his look with an demonic smirk of my own.
I motion to his jaw. I laugh, "And while your in the office you might want to get some ice for that, pansy."
~Hello my lovelies!
Sorry I took so long to update! I actually had a lot of it written but Wattpad decided to delete it.
😡😤😑
Anyways, I hope you like it!
Picture of Tony on the side! Gotta admit he's adorable even though he's a jerk and even I would punch him.
Comment! Please! I want to know if this story is good or if it's total garbage. Just please be nice about it. Thank you!
