Dumebi

Part 2

Not long did she get the details and information of max. Whiles she was about taking her leave Martha receives gifts from the grandparent and the aunties of Dumebi. She got so many good finally she was given money to cater for herself.
Dumebi has closed from school and begins to walk home from school with her friends( Penuella and Benedicta). Penuella has been Dumebi's friend ever since they were children. Both Dumebi and Penuella  eat alot, they live in the same neighborhood and love to have fun together. Benedicta was new to the neighborhood and was just friends with the girls not for long. On their way back from school along their usual bath they saw a poor wretched woman who need some money to buy some food. She sat almost close to Dumebi's house it was the first time she saw that woman. Penuella saw the woman and thought she was mad.
   Dumebi approached the woman although her friends were against it. The woman told Dumebi  she wanted money to buy some food and water. Dumebi knowing this rushed home to pick the money which her mother left for her to buy food and water for the old poor woman who was sitting at the road side ,the woman then plessed  Dumebi saying " you shall never want in life, you shall always be blessed abundantly ".Dumebi was happy to see the woman smile. Then Dumebi run to meet her friend who were angry with her for helping out the old woman. When Dumebi got home, she was hungry and couldn't for her mother to return.
     It was past 9:00pm when Dumebi heard someone knocking the door, she was scared to open the door, till she heard her mother voice and her name that that's when she rushed to the door to open it.
She was amused and expected to see her mother but she wondered where her mother had gotten all the items she was holding because it was the first time she saw so many items. Dumebi has lots of questions to ask.
      Martha was happy to see Dumebi and was exosterd, so she couldn't explain her days activity to Dumebi.

    It was morning and as usual dumebi was getting ready for school. During that time her mother was on the phone with Someone. It was Max (dumebi's father). Dumebi wasn't aware and went to school.

Martha: Hello, Hello

Max: Who is this please?

Martha: It is, it is
        (Then she hangs up the call)
   Some minutes passed when her phone was ringing, she ignored the call but it was still ringing she then decided to answer the phone call.

Max: Hello please who is this

Martha: .........

Max: It is Martha

Max: Martha
       (he was shocked)
Martha: it is Martha, the woman you left behind when she was 2weeks pregnant with your child

Max: Martha (he begins to cry)
         How have you been over these years.

They had a long conversation. It wasn't long when Martha informed Max about Dumebi and the situation they are in. Max was very sad to hear the news. Promised Martha to send her some money. Within 2hours Max sent a message to Martha which was saying, "I have sent you some money so you can move out of that house and I would like to talk to our daughter if she comes back from school"
   Martha was so happy, she couldn't believe it she didn't know what to do neither could she couldn't believe it she didn't know what to do neither could she control her emotions.
