Abeno's POV

Ashiya and I were suddenly called to meet the Executive. What would this bastard want from us?

One of his employees led us to the meeting room.

We open the door to see the Executive and a red-haired woman by his side. She's Etsuko Nakamura. I've met her a couple years ago, when Aoi was still the master of the Mononokean. Why is she here? Etsuko ran up to me.

"Itsuki-kun! Long time no see!" - She smiles.

I nod. Another five year-old. Great, just great.

"You know her, Abeno-San?" - Ashiya asks me.

"Yes" - I reply shortly.

"I'm Etsuko Nakamura! I'm an employee of the Executive." - she introduces herself to him. "I presume that you're Hanae Ashiya?"

"Yes!" - Ashiya says. "It's nice to meet you too, Etsuko-san!"

"Anyways, why were we called here?" - I ask

"Etsuko will go to the mundane world tomorrow." - The executive says "There were some weird phenomenas happening, lately. She will see what's going on. She'll also be your bodyguard."

Both me and Ashiya give him a confused look.

"Bodyguard?" - We both say at the same time.

"Yes. Those 'phenomenas' caused yokai to attack humans and other yokai, but it's unknown why this is happening. Etsuko will protect you from those attacks." - The Executive explains.

"Anyways, we'll have to get going. I'll you guys tomorrow at school! Bye!"
- Etsuko says while waving goodbye at us as she and the Executive are leaving the room.

What did she mean by 'see you tomorrow at school?'

-time skip to next day-
Hanae's POV

I sat in my desk waiting for class to start. Our homeroom teacher entered the classroom.

"We have a new student joining us today." - The teacher says.

A new student? I wonder who could it be;

They enter the classroom. I look up to see who it is and - it's Etsuko-San!

"I'm Etsuko Nakamura! It's nice meet y'all!" - she introduces herself to the class. "I hope we'll get along!"

-time skip to lunch time-

Abeno-san and I went to the rooftop as usual, but with Etsuko-San following us.

"Etsuko-San, how did you transfer into this school?" - I ask the redhead

"Ask the Executive, not me." - she shrugs

"How did you make yourself visible to humans?" - Abeno-San asks her.

"Stop asking questions. I don't know myself!" - she gives a goofy smile.

Etsuko-San sits down and opens her bento, and starts eating.

We talked a little until Abeno-San left to use the restroom.

"So, Ashiya-kun, do you have a crush on Itsuki-kun?" - she asks me with a goofy grin.

"W-what?" - I felt my face heat up. Do I really like Abeno-san?

"Someone's blushing~" - she teases

"S-shut up!" - I hid my face in my hands in embarrassment. She giggles.

"Okay~ but I saw the way you look at him." - she says.

And thank goodness that the bell for class rang at the same moment.

-time skip to after class-

Etsuko is walking me home. We don't have any job to do today.

"Are you sure that you don't have a crush on Itsuki-kun?" - she asks

I blush and turn my head away, to hide it.

"Shut up." - I order. I deny that fact.

We arrive to my place and Etsuko waves me goodbye, going her own way.

After eating dinner, doing my homework, I lay in bed, thinking.

I don't have a crush on Abeno-San, right?- he's always cold to me, but after the incident with the Executive, I realised he actually cares. What if he's a tsundere? -- wait! No! Bad Hanae! Don't think like that! I'm not gay! Or am I...?

I slowly fall asleep, puzzled.

((A/n) Hello! So I've decided to write a Yaoi - Don't worry, it's just a fluff. I love The Morose Mononokean series, and this ship is my absolute OTP! The character in the media attached is Etsuko. Writing so many books at the same time maybe bad for me,, but oh well! I hope you liked this chapter
