Saturday morning

Mia's POV

I woke up early to get training in before I went on the mission with my team. Jumping out of bed I got changed into my usual attire which Jounin ninjas were expected to wear. I skipped breakfast and ran to the training site. I saw Naruto there with Sasuke training. Sasuke waved at me and told me to come over. I ran there and began throwing my kunai knives. Managing to hit the target, Naruto smiled at me and pouted when his was just off the middle. I lightly chuckled as I helped Naruto aim. He fist bumped me and boasted at Sasuke. Sasuke just scoffed and without looking hit the target.

Naruto fumed with anger and tried himself but wasn't able to do it. Sakura ran quickly, apologising for being late. I explained that it was ok because I had just arrived. She sighed in relief. Kakashi was nowhere to be seen. "Hey Sasuke, where is Kakashi-sensei?" I asked, confused. " I don't know. He must be coming tho. " he muttered. I nodded and looked at the tree above us to see Kakashi-sensei, sitting there, reading his book. I nudged Naruto and pointed to the tree. He laughed and said "Kakashi-sensei, don't you ever stop reading that stupid book you pervert!" He moaned. Kakashi looked at him and chuckled nervously. " I am not a pervert Naruto! " he claimed.

Naruto just nodded his head obviously not believing it. My stomach rumbled ever so quietly but sakura noticed. "You haven't eaten have you?" She questioned . I shook my head. Naruto looked at me and said "There is no way we are going if you haven't eaten. Come on. Let's go to Ichiruka's!" He exclaimed . He grabbed my hand and dragged me there. After eating my fill, we set out to our mission. We had to go to the sand village to visit our friend, kazekage Gaara, to deliver a message of a meeting between him and the hokage.

We set out and travelled until night hit. We set camp and rested. Suddenly, I heard a branch snap and got up, standing in my fighting pose. Everyone else got up and pulled out their kunais. We stood back to back, staring at the bushes. A knife cut Sakura's cheek and just missed me. I looked at sakura and yelled. "Whoever it is, come out and fight!" A man with bandages around his mouth came out and chuckled. I knew who it was. Zabuza Momochi. A notorious criminal.

We looked at each other and stood together. He jumped off the branch and attacked Sasuke in the stomach. Naruto went to hit him but missed slightly. I went in front of them and blocked the attacks. I used the shadow doppelganger jutsu and made six doppelgangers. I used fire ball jutsu and managed to injure him. Kakashi told me to help the others while he fought him off. I went to Sasuke and asked if he was ok. He nodded and thanked me. Sakura healed them as I covered us. Kakashi wounded him badly as he fled. We decided to keep moving and managed to get there. Naruto thanked me and smiled. I smiled back. We went to his office. We hugged him, said hello and told him the message. He nodded and said he will come in a bit.

We made it back as I went to Sasuke. He looked at me and asked what I wanted. I told him about my slight crush on Naruto. He looked at me and laughed. He could already tell. He said that he was sure that Naruto would like me. I thanked him and hugged him. I decided to visit Itachi. I went to the akatsuki base as I saw Pain. I hugged him and said hello. It had been a while since I visited. I saw everyone and said hello. I went to itachi's room as his eyes lit up when he saw me. He hugged me and asked how I was doing. I told him I was ok and I told him about my crush since he asked. I knew I could trust him. He assured me and told me everything would be ok. I got an alert so I left hurriedly.

It was Naruto. Something had happened to him. I rushed to see him in his beast form. He was crying. He was called a failure by a man. He crushed his dreams. He beat him up. Naruto was hurt. I walked to him. But stopped when I felt something hurting my head.
