The Warped Tour Concert

•April's point of view•

"So April, did you listen to that song I told you about?" "I told you already Melissa, I'm not interested in songs that are punk, screamo, rock or whatever they are," I say annoyingly. " Yeah I know. You've told me a million times-" " Well then, stop asking me!" I say cutting her off. " But Taylor, just try it out. I need someone to squeal with while listening to their songs," Melissa says as she shows me a picture of her favorite band's albums. "Fine..." I say as we hear the bell ring for our next class. "Bye." "Bye." We both go our seperate ways and as I am about to enter my next class, I hear her shout "YES" at the top of her lungs.

At the end of the day as I'm walking home, I noticed all these posters that say "Warped Tour: Jan.15" on all of them and I think to myself, "Who even goes to these things?" But then I remember that Melissa's birthday is coming up and I still haven't gotten her anything, so I take one of the posters home and think about taking her for her birthday since she loves bands so much.

By the time I got to school, I see Melissa running to me and screaming something, but I don't seem to understand any of it. She tells me that the will be a concert of one of her favorite bands playing at a nearby city.

After school, I sit at my desk and do my homework. As I am working, I notice an unfamiliar paper that is somewhat crinkled hiding under my books. It was the Warped Tour concert poster. At the bottom of the poster, there is a website to buy the tickets. I decide to check the website out to see how much the tickets cost so I can buy Melissa her birthday present. They were somewhat expensive but it was worth seeing my best friend happy. I order the tickets and wait until the next day to give Melissa her present.

I hear my alarm clock ringing so I get up and get dressed. I put on a plain gray sleeveless shirt along with a pair of black skinny jeans and my favorite pair of white Converse. I head to school remembering that today is Melissa's birthday and I have to give her the tickets.

"HEY APRIL," says Melissa enthusiastically. " Do you remember what today is?" " Of course! How could I forget. It's your birthday! Oh and I got you something special. I got us two tickets to the Warped Tour concert that you have been wanting to go to," I say as I am handing her the tickets. " Oh. My Gosh. This is the best birthday present ever! Thank you so much!" " No problem. Oh and by the way. The concert is in two weeks." She squeals loudly and we both hurry to our next class.

After school, I decide to research some of the bands that will be performing at the concert so I know what to expect. I vaguely remember some of the band names on the poster but I manage to remember most of them which included: Sleeping with Sirens, Of Mice and Men, Falling in Reverse, and Pierce the Veil. As I sit there, the name 'Pierce the Veil' sounds very familiar and that's when I remember Melissa saying that Pierce the Veil was one of her favorite bands.

--------Two Weeks Later----------
Today is the day that me and Melissa go to the concert. I don't know what to expect, but I am so nervous and find myself shaking a bit. I have heard that the Warped Tour Concerts are really crazy and can be dangerous at times. I try to ignore it and think of something completely different. I got up, got dressed, got in the car, picked up Melissa, and headed to the concert. We tried to get there as early as possible and when we got there we were right in front of the stage. We were lucky enough to get a good view of the stage. Once there was a huge crowd surrounding the stage, the concert had begun.

The first band to perform was Sleeping with Sirens. Then came Of Mice and Men. After that, Falling in Reverse. After FIR, the next band was Pierce the Veil. As Vic Fuentes (Lead Vocalist) came up to the stage, he was followed by Mike Fuentes (Drummer), Tony Perry (Guitarist), and Jaime Preciado (Bassist). The crowd roared and screamed at the top of their lungs. Although the people around me were screaming and shouting, I still managed to hear Melissa scream," I LOVE YOU PIERCE THE VEIL!"

Like I said, I wasn't much of a fan of those types of bands, but I have to admit, the songs were pretty catchy and the lead singer, Vic, was pretty cute. Throughout their songs, I just stood their and listened for a while, but every now and then I would zone out.

•Vic's Point of View•

As they call out our band name to perform, me, Mike, Jaime, and Tony all went out and played a few songs, but while we were performing, I looked into the crowd and saw everybody jumping, singing along , or shouting except this one girl at the front of the crowd who was just standing there. She seemed as if she was uninterested or bored. I didn't get to see her face that well because she was constantly looking at the ground ,but I just kept on performing until we were done.
