Florence and Edgar found themselves in an odd room with two light brown rollback sofas and elegant armchairs. The tables were replaced with trunks with many trinkets rested upon them.
The room was cluttered with all sorts of things. It looked almost like a charity shop, crossed with a tearoom. There were two large windows with sets of emerald green curtains which framed the City streets.
There were many different strange things as well. There were a few small chairs nailed to the wall, acting as shelves holding books and other small objects.
Upon a stack of olden style suitcases was a torso of what looked to be a mannequin, though it was a copper colour with a few cogs and gears in place. The wallpaper wasn't quite black, it had a slight splash of blue.
The whole room had a Victorian yet futuristic look to it.
"Would either of you like a cup of tea? This might take a while." The woman asked.
"I'm no thanks." Florence mumbled politely.
"And you, sweetie?" The woman turned to Edgar.
He shook his head. "Yeah, no thanks."
"Suit yourself." The woman sat in one of the sofa's in front of them. "Well sit down." She sounded more commanding than polite.
Florence quickly sat down while Edgar seemed hesitant, but sat nevertheless.
"I'm Elysia, by the way." She reached over to shake their hands.
"I'm Florence and this is Edgar." Said Florence tried to sound as sweet as possible.
"Now." Elysia sat back in her seat. "I've never seen the two of you in my life and I've lived a long life. Where did you come from?"
"Well I... Er..." Florence Scratched the back of her head, awkwardly. "It's sort of a long story."
Edgar rolled his eyes. "Florence here, wanted to explore the attic after our uncle specifically told us not to."
"I thought so." Elysia relaxed her shoulders.
"You knew? But why did you-"
"Honesty will set you free, my dear." Elysia smiled.
"So Jasper didn't send you?"
The twins shook their heads
Elysia looked slightly disappointed. "Shame. I'm in need of a helping hand."
"How do you know uncle Jasper?" Edgar asked.
"Oh we go way back. He and I have to protect the gate between worlds." Elysia said, casually.
"Worlds?" The twins inquired in unison.
"Yes. You are in the northern universe." Elysia explained. "There are two universes. The northern and the southern. Technically speaking, no one is supposed to pass through, but I did it and I'm alright."
"Wait, you did it?" Florence raised an eyebrow.
Elysia's eyes widened. "Oh! I've said too much already."
"Hang on. Where are we right now? Like specifically."
Edgar asked, looked around anxiously.
"At the moment, our house is in the grand city of Velothain. Would you like to take a look?"
Edgar and Florence looked at each other with a look of confusion and excitement.
"Yeah!" Florence shouted.
Elysia stood up. "Follow me then."

The house was almost an exact copy of uncle Jasper's, The decor was definitely different. While Jasper's was homely and slightly decaying. Elysia's had had the vibe of a crazy inventor. As the twins walked through, they noticed the Victorian and futuristic style remained consistent, while still remaining just as homely. They stumbled passed a robot, he looked like a young man, around Florence and Edgar's age. He looked almost human, with the exception of two glowing green eyes and a robotic arm. It looked like the skin had been removed. The boy wore a brown waistcoat with matching trousers and a white shirt with the top button undone.
"Ah! This is Percy. He lives here, with me." Percy smiled at the two of them.
"He doesn't speak anymore, he just smiles at people." Said Elysia.
Edgar reached out to shake Percy's hand. The second their hands touched, an electric shock jolted through him. When he pulled away, he noticed that Percy's cheeks glowed red. Was he blushing?
He shot Edgar an apologetic look.
"That never happens." Elysia looked over Percy's arm. "Not since his first design."
"It's fine Percy." Edgar smiled at him. His heart thumped in his chest as his eyes locked with his.
"I created him after my brother left, to keep me company. But he's become so much more than that."
Elysia walked to the foyer and grabbed her coat from the hanger.
"Are you both ready?"
The twins nodded.
"We're off Percy!" She looked at Mercy who stood at the top of the stairs. "Well be back in a second."
Percy walked at them while Elysia locked the door and left.
