Tiny Shouldn't be Taken Lightly (Boruto and Sarada)

7. The Cook Off

"Thank you everyone for coming!" Denki said in the middle of the two stoves. "Today our judges are..!" He said swiping his hand over towards a table with the logo, 'KAMINARIUM' on it in bold letters and symbols, along with the four judges there.

"We have Mrs. Sablinski! Mr. Tomoyami! Mr. Samaki! And last but not least my friend, Miss Baruta!" Denki said and the lights flashed onto them and us where we were all sitting.

Now how Boruto came to be a judge is a long story, but it is also a funny one so I'll tell you. As Denki was making his phone calls for the show he was told that the other female judge, Mrs. Abbgot, broke her wrist and has backed out of the job on a leave. That must really suck since the food here is usually amazing! Now Denki insists that we can't do the show without another female judge. He said it was their trade mark and if there wasn't another female it would throw the whole show off, which I don't understand since I don't specialize in show business. 

It appeared that no one else was going to judge and Denki was ready to call the show off. Thankfully for Chocho and Iwabi my dear boyfriend, Boruto, whom I love oh so much, told Denki that the girls of our group should draw lots to be the remaining judge. Denki was hesitant since we were ninjas and not taste testers, but he gave in, because he really just needed a female to be in that spot. We all weren't exactly happy with this but we did it anyways. Lucky me got picked. I didn't want to because this show would be broadcasted all over Konaha.

Thinking back on it now it would have been better and nice if I was a judge. None of the other girls would take my spot and I was losing hope. Boruto noticed I didn't want to do it so he devised another plan. He said that he would dress up like a girl for me and be the judge. We were all against it, that is everyone but surprisingly Denki. He said that it was a great idea since it would make people want to watch more and see what Boruto does and find out if he is a girl or not.

Denki is one sly and cunning person, I'm glad were friends. 

"Now introducing our two competitors today! That's right two! Today is a cook off!" The lights flashed and the crowd including me clapped. "The first contestant is none other than ChouChou Akamichi, not only a bone crushing ninja, but also a chef with a keen tongue!"

Everyone cheered as the lights circled and then landed on ChouChou who smiled and took in the cameras gaze like a sponge as she acted all cute and charming. I could see Iwabee gag from the darkness and I held back a chuckle.

"Now the next contestant is Iwabee Yuino! He is also a ninja who is skilled in all elements! As the leader of his team no one stands a chance on the battlefield! Is he as good in the kitchen as he is on the battlefield? He is a self acclaimed chef and his abilities are unknown!" The lights flashed on and Iwabi had his arms crossed with a spatula in one of them as he smirked at the camera cockily.

The crowd cheered and so did the judges. Baruta energetically clapped 'her' hands and then fixed her hair as the cameras turned to them.

"Alright judges! Today's challenges will be a three course meal: appetizer, entrée, and dessert! But you all know this can't be any regular cook off!" He laughed and then all the lights turned red.

I heard a girl scream and some people were spewing words that all meant they were shocked, but the ones that knew and weren't caught off guard were excited for the new challenge that was being built up. I was shocked and almost shot up but I was stopped by an excited squeal behind me.

"Oh my goodness I remember my cousin showed me an episode of this show last Christmas! I'm so glad I know the name now!" Namida squealed behind me.

Oh, this is all in the script. I thought to myself as I sighed then chuckled and watched a scared Baruta look around nervously. He smiled nervously his eyebrows furrowed looking for an explanation. I held in a laugh as my cheeks tinted pink, he was such a goofball.

The cook off ended in a draw since Baruta got himself, no herself, exposed after catching her fake hair on fire, throwing it into Iwabi's food in a panic, as she screamed like the - grown woman - she is. This put the show into a panic, some things got broken, people left, Iwabi attacked Baruta, and I'm not sure if any of this is airing, but we still ruined the shows career. The innocent bystanders who were supposed to be the crowd for applause and reactions will diffenently not keep their mouths shut no matter how much they are payed.

This took such a long time!

That's because it didn't go the way I wanted it too.

The characters chose their own path "0v0, oh well it turned out funny, but I had to end it early or I would never get to the next chapter.
