~ Y/N's POV ~
Shiro and I finally got out of the city. We've walked past hundreds and hundreds of cherry blossom trees already and we've just gotten here.
"Shiro, this place is so lovely!"
"I bet it's not as lovely as-" Shiro stopped,looking at me. My face was dark.... sad.
"I-I'm sorry, I-"
"Shiro it's fine. I'm just not over the fact that I may never see my family again. I wonder how they are..."
"Alright. L-Listen, if you need anything, just say."
"A-A hug would be nice..." I mumbled
"A wha-? Oh..." Shiro grabbed me tight. He was warm, I felt safe. I gripped onto him tightly and we stood there for a couple of minutes, just hugging.
"We can continue this a bit later. Let's go back for now."
(A/N, stop being dirty minded. They're only going to sit down and hug back at the castle. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
"Let's go."
Shiro and I wondered back into the busy city and eventually made our way back to his lion.
"Did you have fun?" He asked
"Yes, definitely!" I replied. I could feel the blood rush to my cheeks and I could see Shiro blushing a bit aswell.
"Alright, and.... we're up!"
It didn't take long to get back to the others. We still had time to go around the Garrison and see everyone.
~ Shiro's POV ~
It was so good to see everyone again. Commander Iverson, (maybe not) Admiral Sanda, you get the idea. I moved away from Y/N's side momentarily, just so I could talk to Commander Iverson but when I returned, Y/N had disappeared. I got worried, where got they have gone?
(This is how the conversation went, bold is Iverson)
"Ah, Commander Iverson!"
"Officer Shirogane.... how have you been?"
"Oh, just excellent, you know? Being captured by an alien race and all."
"Y-Yes. I apologise about that."
"Ah well, it couldn't be helped."
"Yes, now. Where have you been these days? Your ship crashed one night so we went to investigate. An ex-cadet came into the room you were - temporarily - being held on and that's all I remember. You were gone the next day!"
"Yes well, I've been saving the universe."
"Wait, what? Uhm, Officer Shirogane, did you not have someone by your side?"
"What, oh Y/N? Oh, they're right- Y-Y/N?! Oh
no...!"
