The One

You're the one who understands me when I get picky,

The one who hushes me when I'm crying badly.

The one who can tame me when I act wildly,

and the only one who loves me fully.

Scolds when I change my hairdo without permission,

Even when I forget to put on some lotion.

Reprimands when I get mosquito bites,

and rebukes me when I get diets.

You yell at me 'cause I forgot your order,

Still, you love me 'cause I'm your rear.

Give me advice when I get the failures,

When I'm wounded you're the one who cures.

You talk to me like we're the best of friends,

Protect me from my hurtful fiends.

Cooks my favorite food when I upset,

My friends would be envious, I bet!

You're the best of the best Mother,

and I wouldn't trade you for another,

Whatever tragedies may come

I'll still love you mom.
