Where? ( Ticci Toby x Reader)

Prologue

"(Y/n), can you go by the corner store, and get some milk for tomorrow?" My mother asked as I was setting up the table.

"Yes ma'am." I replied as I finished setting up the table. I grabbed my purse and put on my (F/c) converse.

"Ok, Mom I'm off!" I yelled from the front door.

"Thanks Hon; Also, please be careful!" she yelled back.

I walk past all the house before stopping at one, my best friends. I look up to see him staring out his window like usual. I grab a rock near by and throw it at his window to get his attention, It worked fortunately. He open his window and waved at me.

I waved and shouted, "WANNA COME TO THE CORNER STORE WITH ME!?"

"I-I can't," Is all he said before closing his window again.

I took one more glance at his window before leaving. He's been acting weird lately. He seems more exhausted too. 'You know what! I'm going to buy him his favorite food, WAFFLES!!' 

We use to eat Ego waffles together, but that changed after his sister passed away.

I was halfway back home when I noticed the smoke in the sky. 'It seemed like it was coming from-' 

I didn't finish that thought as I sprinted the rest of the way home. 

I drop the bag of milk and waffles as I stared in horror at the scene that lays in front of me. The whole neighborhood was on fire. Only one thought passed my mind.

'Mom!'

I ran into the fire towards my house. Their it stood burning up like a tree struck by lightening. I didn't notice when the police, ambulance and the fire department arrived. I just tried running in praying that my mom was safe, but an officer held me back. 

I screamed and struggled to get out of his hold. 

"Kid calm down, please this is for your own safety," He said as calmly as he could. 

"NO MY MOM STILL IN THERE!! LET ME GO! PLE-please let me go, I-I need to make sure she's ok," I shouted as I broke-down.

The officer took advantage of my weak moment as he pulled me away from the burning house and into one of the many ambulances. 

"Please stay here kid, we'll do our best to save your mom."

I looked at him before nodding. Once he left I looked towards the woods to get a glimpse of a creature. It looked like it was carrying a human. 

'Wait that's Toby,' I thought as I got up and chased after the creature. I stopped when I no longer saw them. I fell to my knees as my tears return. 

"I lost both of you..." I whispered out.
