"Later Gabs." Lexi Moores beamed, waving at me.

"Later lovers." I teasingly wiggled my perfectly manicured fingers at Lexi and her girlfriend, Amanda Dalton, who were sitting on the sofa in Amanda's living room.

They just want me to leave so they can make out. I giggled at the thought, not like it wasn't true though.

"What's so funny?" Lexi asked, curling a lock of dark brown hair around her finger.

"Oh, nothing." I answered, waving a dismissive hand at Lexi and Amanda as I slipped out the door.

As I turned the corner onto Cobbler, the street my dad's brother lives on, I started to felt as if someone was following me. I swept a strand of straight, recently chopped off hair behind my ear to see if anyone was there. No one.

I shook my head, feeling ridiculous for being so paranoid. How stupid am I? No one's there. I need to calm the hell down.

I tried to shake the feeling, but it wouldn't go. After a moment of silence where the birds stoped chirping, the bees stopped buzzing and even the forever noisy crickets were silent, I started to jog. It might have been the ideal sunny day, but it felt like the beginning of a horror movie.

"I have to get out of here." I whispered, feeling the world spin beneath my feet.

Right as I escaped the sidewalk and stepped onto my uncle Eric's squishy green lawn, I stopped what had now turned into a sprint, trying to catch my breath.

Just I  as I was beginning to calm down, someone put a hand over my mouth. I rolled my eyes, my cousin Chloe always tried to pull  stupid stunts like this to scare me.

I went to grab Chloe's wrist, ready to spin the bitch around and slap her for pulling something like this again. Only, when I grabbed the person's wrist, their grip on my mouth tightened, and they put their other hand over my eyes.

Shit.
