It was as hot as lava, smoke was rising from the large flames. Mareep coughed. "Mommy?!"
She couldn't see her mother through the fire. She was parkouring through the flames, trying not to touch any of them. "Mom!!!" She yelled again.
"Mareep..." a faint voice said.
Mareep ran to her mother, who was collapsed on the floor, coughing and spitting blood.
"Mareep.." she smiled, reaching out to touch Mareep's cheek. "Get out of here... I want you to escape this horrible region's wrath. Don't worry about me.."
She coughed once more, and closes her eyes. "There are so many things I could still do with you. But Ho-oh saved the others, not me..." and then, she coughed again. She whispered to Mareep so that only Mareep and the Ampharos could hear it. "I love you, Mareep..."
Her arm fell onto the floor, and she didn't move an inch.
"Mommy?" Mareep whispered. A tear formed in her eye. "Mommy? Now's not the t-time for n-naps..."
Ampharos didn't move.
"MOMMY!!! NO, DON'T LEAVE ME!"
Mareep started sobbing, picking up her mother with all her might.
"I won't let you burn..." Mareep struggled.
Once she was out of the tower, she collapsed and hugged her mother's corpse and fainted.
