I think to myself why, why here in this town. I sigh, humming the beat to a song on the radio, watching the road end, to go on to a gravel road. I watch the sky fade as the trees cover it. She's done it! My mom's completely lost her mind I think to myself once more
"We're here sweetheart" my mother says. I quickly jump back to reality, and get out of the car. Looking up and down at the old brown house."What do you think?" My mom says
"Creepy, in the middle of no where" I kinda of blurt out rudely I go to the back of the car grabbing my bags. Walking inside, as soon as I step on the floor it creeks. I hold my nose, from a horrible stench of an old run down house.
"Mom! If you could afford the big ass house, why not a small house closer to town!?" I say aggravated "because I am the adult here, and I am the one making the money. AND WATCH YOU LANGUAGE!" my mother yells "why do you never answer any of my questions!?, You always blow them of, ever since dad-" I was cut off by my mother's hand going across my face. "Do not bring your damn father into this! And I am you mother I do not need to answer any of you questions. GO TO YOUR ROOM!" I grab my stuff walking up to my room laying it down. The smell becomes stronger, I begin to follow it, until I come across an old dumbwaiter. I gag at the smell it's so strong like it's right in front of me. "THAT'S IT!" An ideal pops in my head. I open the dumbwaiter seeing blood splattered all over it a shattered mask lays broken in half in the dumbwaiter. What's a mask doing in a dumbwaiter? Or why is a dumbwaiter in my room? And why is it covered in blood? So many questions, so little answers.
