Crisp cool air waves over thin eyelids making shivers run throughout, eyes jolting open and adjusting themselves to the soft warm white light of the room as someone knocks on the door slowly creaking it open; "Lou? You're needed by the Commander." A quiet whisper commands. "Huh? W..what about??" confusion strikes over still not being fully conscious from a restful night's sleep. An Officer is standing by the door ready to escort him, "Let's go, it is an urgent matter. No time to wait." He grabs ahold of Lou's arm walking him down the hallway further and further away from the room Lou stays he starts to gain a grip of what's happening waking up more adjusting to the surroundings as he isn't out of the room often. The officer halts by a steel locked sleek looking large door gliding his keys through the air towards the knob to unlock it with special keys nobody but the officer's and Commander have in their possession as this is the room in which all our world's most secure information resides in; the door glides open ever so swiftly almost like it was being washed open by an ocean of air. Entering there's a familiar voice "Ah. Finally, you're awake. Now let's begin Lou... please, take a seat." The Commander motions to the seat in front of him while swinging his chair around and leaning over the table slightly "Lou. You're much needed for a new mission. It is one that will require... patience, survival, knowledge and determination. Before we move further, I must ask; you are the one who's, not to be blunt I do apologize but, obsessed?.+987-With Earth, correct?" a long pause of awkward tension fills the room for a mere very seconds before quickly but confidently Lou responds "Yes Sir, that's right. It's a fascination really." He fidgets with his sleeves in hopes he didn't offend the Commander with the extra comment rather than just agreeing with his choice of words for Lou's passion which was slightly an offensive remark to make; 'obsession'.
The Commander lifts his eyebrow in concern but proceeds "Tell me, this 'passion' of yours then, how did you come across the topic even? What makes it such an interest to you?" Lou calmly tries explaining "I can't honestly answer that for you. I have always felt some sort of connection, a pull if you will, gravitating me to discover more about the intensely vast planet. Something has always felt right and a type of certain fate possibly to learn all I can in hopes I can one day visit the wonderful place! Such a dream it would be indeed, Sir!!" realizing his out of hand excitement hadn't been contained very well so he awkwardly shifts in his seat and stabilizes his words "... I just, feel connected somehow. It's all really entertaining to research anyways. That's all." The Commander looks over his shoulder to see the face of his right-hand man who seemingly nods in agreement meeting the Commander's graze then the Commander slides his chair a little bit towards Lou and in the most peaceful manner decides this is happening, he's the one who they will send. "Good... Good... Lou. I need you to listen very carefully, take my words VERY seriously when I say this now. Once you know what this mission is for, you must complete it to its end. Do I make myself clear?" the Commander sits up straight awaiting Lou's response before adding "And Lou... this is something you hardly have any choice in. I only need your agreement that you will see this through for the sake of our livelihood once it begins that we, I, can trust your loyalty to our race and to your planet." Lou cautiously nods his head, curiosity makes him impatient as his legs start to slowly bounce up and down shaking his thigh with ease. "I understand, Commander. I swear I'll personally complete the task in its entirety, I'll set my life on that promise." Lou nervously answers trying to appear confident in his weariness. "I intend to see you through on that then Lou, there's a very specific process we will need to initiate in order to even start this mission. We'll go over all of that in the morning as it's nearly dawn now. I expect you to wake up early, my guards will assist if you have troubles getting yourself awake again." The Commander proceeds to signal the Officers to walk Lou back to his courters as Lou walks, he can't help but wonder if this mission is about Earth and what all that entails for the morning as well as for Lou's safety.
