Chapter 2

"MAYA!! WAKE UP!!" Mom shouted. "Ughhhh" I groaned. Nothing else can wake me up except mom's surprisingly loud voice from downstairs. FROM DOWNSTAIRS. SHE STILL SOUNDS LIKE A FUCKING FIRE ALARM. I get out if my bed slowly. My speed in getting out of my bed in the morning is equivalent to a sloth crawling upside down on a branch. I put on a red crop top that says "F*** It". I wish it didn't censor "fuck" but the stars are the only way I can where this shirt to school. Then I put on some baggy jeans with rips in them (it's a style). I brush my bed head hair, which takes approximately 10 minutes, and then I finally go downstairs to eat bacon. "BACOOOON" I shout when I enter the kitchen and see a bunch of pieces of bacon on my plate. "Oh, mornin' mom" I say. "Good morning!" Mom says cheerfully while cooking a heap of scrambled eggs. "Hurry up and eat your bacon, your gonna be late for school". I quickly shovel down all my bacon and get my backpack, which already contains everything I need, because I never do my homework, therefore I never tale anything out. I put on my black and white converse and open the door. "Bye Mom! Love you!" I shout from the door. "Bye Maya! Love you to! Be careful!". "I will! Bye!" and with that, I left. I took my phone out of the small pocket in my backpack where I left it and checked the time. 7:55?! Shit! School starts at 8:00! I ran as fast as I could (which is pretty fast) down the block. I kept running and running and running...
And running...
And running...
And running...
And running...

You can tell this is getting tiring.
So I kept running until I ran smack in to someone. "Shit! I'm so sor—" I started. I stared at the person—boy—I ran in to. He had dark brown hair and amazing emerald green eyes. His body was amazing from what I could see. He had muscles on his arms and legs, so he probably had muscles on his back and stomach. God, I could already see his 6 pack. "..ry" I finished. He smiled and said, "It's fine. This is a different way of meeting people, isn't it?". "Y..ya.." I said, dazed. He held out his hand to help me up. I gratefully took it and thanked fate. "My name's Jace" he said. "Jase? Like short for Jason?" I asked. "No. Just Jace. J-A-C-E" he answered. "Oh. Well, I'm Maya. Nice to meet you, Jace." I said. "Nice to meet you too, Maya" he replied, smiling. He looked at my backpack and asked, "Are you going to school?". "Ya, I go to River High" I replied. "Oh! So do I! Do you want to walk together?" he said. "Sure!" I replied. And from that day on, we became friends. And I had a massive crush on him...
