To the Desert Continent! Graverobbing! Exploring and adventure!
Also, that's the pyramid in the beginning. Just imagine that it's mostly covered by sand and the stuff I will describe to it.

Desert
I continued walking throught the sands. My scarf pulled up to cover my face as sand was blowing wildly, trying to get into eyes and mouth. I covered my eyes and pushed throught the painfully hot sand. I know that I'm on the right way for a simple reason, before I the wind picked up I saw my goal in the distance and I kept looking back on my footprints to confirm going in straight line.
After some walk I felt it under me feet - the steady ground. I looked down seeing cracked and broken stone blocks that were once the path leading to the pyramid. I looked around seeing broken pillars with marks of tools, people probably tried to get them away from here to sell for a nice sum... Or simply plucking the gold from the carvings.
I saw a few ruins that might have been guard posts and further away were rows of ruins that might have been houses for those guards. I walked over to the entrance. Thankfully storm is blocked by the great pyramid in front of me... I looked around and noticed something moving. I looked up before throwing myself to the side, narrowly dodging a broken piece of block from somewhere up top.
I let out a silent breath of relief before moving towards the entrance. I lighten up my torch, fixed the bag on my arm and held a baton in hand. Those type of ruins usually have some monster girls in them so I should stay on my guard. I took the last breath of fresh air before moving into the dark interior of the pyramid.
As I continue to move across the corridors I felt the danger almost crawling on top of my neck. There is no monster girls but the building itself is vibrating from time to time and from the amount of the corridors blocked by the broken down ceilings I can safely say that it may fall down at any moment...
Suddenly Ihear something rushing towards me. I was fast enough to turn around and hit my attacker who groaned in pain... Before shooting back on their feet and striking a pose as if she wasn't caught on her failed attack.

Rana : I am Rana the Anubis and final guardian of her majesty, Pharaoh Neith! If you wish to defile her temple you have to get throught me!
She picked up her cane-spear weapon and rushed me again. She thrusted it at my abdomen so I jumped back before giving her another smack. She let go of her weapon. I expected her to once again fight but...
She fell on her knees exploding in tears making me feel like a jerk... It's not that I hit her hard. It was simply to push her back so I couldn't hurt her, could I?
Rana : I give up! I'm a failure of a guardian! There isn't anything to even protect anymore except for my lady, Neith!
(Y/N) : So... You're telling me I came all this way for nothing?
Rana : You see how our home look... There is nothing to take. Some people even stole block of stone from the pyramid itself... Even Sphinx left since no one wanted to come here.
(Y/N) : Great, two week journy all for nothing. Might as well get back... Ugh, which way is back?
Rana : Down this corridor- Ugh, might as well lead you back...
(Y/N) : So you're just gonna stay like that?
Rana : I am loyal to my lady... The entrance to her chamber has been blocked so I can't even go there. I might as well stay here until everything falls on our heads...
She led me all the way back to the entrance and walked out of the pyramid herself. She sat down at the entrance looking down. I started to walk away. I covered my face with my scarf again and keep on walking away... Then I heard her sobbing. Then silently cry and taking a wheezing breath.
Come on, you've robbed many pyramids already. You've been throught many monster girls and other people trying to get you. You've left your parents and sisters behind to do this job and send them money. You can't just break down against one Anubis... One crying girl... One cute crying wolfgirl that's just crying because of your interference in her sad and miserable life...
I curse myself!
I turned around went back to the Anubis girl. She was crying her eyes out, making me uncomfortable even approaching her. I sat next to her and slowly put my arm around her shoulders. In a few second I found her on my top of me, her cries reduced to little sniffles as she looked at me with her big auburn eyes...
Rana : Why didn't you left?
(Y/N) : I'm just a single man... I'm no prince or hero but hardships are nothing new to me. I, uhhh, if there's something I can do I will help you.
She - despite being a wolf - grabbed me in a bear hug and squeezed happily. I saw that her tail becoming one blur and face to light up with a smile so bright that sun can't even go against it. The hopeful look in her eyes what was gave me at least some sense of self-assurance that I did something good...
Rana : There is a lot of things to do but first things first! We need to get back Sphinx! She might be in one of the villages nearby because she'd be too lazy to go far! We also need some sort of engineer or architect to help us stabilize the pyramid until Pharaoh wakes up! While you're think of either we can start clearing corridors of debris!
