Chapter 8

Kians P.O.V

When she hanged up her phone she was crying uncontrollably "hey hey em what's wrong" "my my uh sister is *whisper* dead"  oh no this isn't good she loved her sister. " I need to find sheila so I can drop her off and I need to go to the hospital and and i ....." She was crying I told connor what happen he was also in tears I told him to get sheila once I said that I heard Katie telling em that she was going to take sheila home em nodded and I told em that im going to the hospital with her because she was in no condition to drive she agreed probably because she wanted to be there as quick as she can.

Em's P.O.V

Kian took me outside with the other boys I was very uncomfortable I was hoping something would come up so I can leave "so em-" he got caught off by my phone I quickly answered

*Phone Call* (•= em & °= doctor)

• = hello?

° = hello, is this Emily May Rose sister of Meghan Elaine Rose?

• = uh yes this is she

° = I'm sorry to tell you but your sister is in the hospital

• = WHAT!!... but but is she okay

° = no I'm sorry to tell you your sister is dead

• = she's -she's what??

° = she was in the middle of a shooting and she got shot and once she got to the hospital she died I'm sorry but can you come and identify the body just to make sure

• = yeah I'll be there in  a c-couple o-of m-minutes

° = okay bye

• = bye

*end of phone convo*

(Skipping what happened next it was in kians' point of view)

We were on our way to the hospital kian was driving he didn't let me drive because I was shaking uncontrollably I was nervous I didn't know what was going to happen next who was I going to live with am I moving back to California if I do will I see Jake again? "Uh em I don't know where your going to live but I have to tell you once you moved Jake got really mad and started to punch and hit everything in his way and no one was there to bail him out" I looked at him confused "you were thinking out loud" oh. There was a silence a little awkward but somewhat good. We got there and I ran to the reception desk "uhh Meghan Elaine Rose please" I said it a little over a whisper so kian repeated  it for me so the lady can answer "oh yes well she's in the basement and you'll have to ask them what room she's in" I nodded not trusting my voice kian took my hand and I took it away from him he looked disappointed? No he can't like me he bullied me for god sakes and he was the one that started it.... I stop thinking about it because we were getting off the elevator their was another lady there she looked like she didn't want to be there i mean who would a floor filled with dead bodies? I told her my name kians name I had to lie he was my boyfriend so he could get through I know I hate him but he was the only reason why I haven't had a mental break down and my sisters name a doctor took us to see her....it was a white room cold and depressing the doctor pulled the white plastic over her and revealed her face she was still wearing her makeup her hair in a messy bun and looked like how I talked to her I turned around covered my face and started to cry I felt strong hands on me it was kian. "So is this your sister?" I nodded not trusting my voice kian noticed me nodding and said yes "well miss I'm sorry for your lost can you please come with me so you can fill out some paper work?" I nodded again still not trusting my voice we went to the first floor and they gave me some papers I realize that i didn't call my parents.

*phone convo*

Mom: hey sweetie how's it going

Me: hey *sniffle* mom

Mom: what's wrong here let me pit you on speaker

Mom&dad: OK now talk

Me: well I was at a party and I wanted to go home so I was looking for my friend but then I got a call from the hospital they....they said it was Meghan.....she D-died a-and I'm at the hospital filling some paperwork and and I don't know what to do please come mommy I'm scared

Dad: your mother is getting the tickets now and emmy remember this isn't your fault.....h-how did she d-die?

Me: she was in the middle of a gang shooting and she died when she got to the hospital

Dad: its OK just bring the paperwork  to your place you don't have to finish it and bring a friend if you want to keep you company

Me: okay daddy I love you see you tomorrow

*end of convo*

"How did they take it" kian said it made me jump because I thought he left but remembered that I was his ride "uhh they took it fine I'll drive you back ho-" "no no no your not going to be alone tonight I'm staying over" "no my parents are coming over and I dont know how they'll take it when they see a guy in the house" he looked sad most of that was true but the other part was that I spent way to much time with him today and frankly I didn't wasn't to spend another minute with him I still get nervous when I'm alone with him I feel like he's going to hurt me or something.. I dropped kian off and went to my place I needed to relief myself I went straight to my bathroom and got a razor

ONE for my sister

TWO for not being with her

THREE for being a horrible sister

FIVE for Meghan not being here

I cleaned the cuts wrapped them up put my PJ's on and attempted to fall asleep but the call and everything replayed in my head every time I closed my eyes hopefully things will start to get better
