Taehyung's laugh was like medicine.

He'd giggle at pretty much anything; almost like he was a six year old girl in a twenty-three year old man's body.

His laugh was a contagious medicine as well.

We were halfway through season 1, episode six of Schitt's Creek and I swear he was about to fall off the couch in hysterical screaming.

"Babe, I forgot I had something else."

Sitting up to stretch, I nodded. "What is it?" He grabbed the bag next to him, on the side of the couch, with a big smile.

Mint ice cream.

"Oh, cool! My favorite flavor, haha." I said as convincingly as I could.

Inside...well, I'm sure you knew how I felt. Millions of fears and voices swirling around my brain like a flock of crows: obnoxious and so fucking loud.

"I'll grab bowls." He scurried off, as happy as he could be, as the little boy he is.

I wanted to chuck it in the trash. Take it back to the store. Hide it, crush it. I wouldn't do that, though. This was the expensive ice cream that was Taehyung's favorite, he worked hard for it. He's not usually able to eat sweets, anyway.

Might as well eat it to show I care.

Might as well try to enjoy it. Or endure it, more likely.

My anxieties, for the first time, didn't last as Taehyung held me in his arms as he ate.

I could eat something now. And it wasn't totally unbearable.

I'm surprised, I thought.

I'm surprised that someone as beautiful as him can fall in love with someone like me.
