One less day until the weekend.

That was my mantra when I woke up Monday morning. I sighed loudly before dragging my body out of the warm comfortable bed and I was grateful for the carpeted floor and not chilled wooden floorboards like in my old room.

Collecting all my shower items I went into the large bathroom. Jace's door was closed, so perhaps he was still asleep.

Yesterday, Sunday, had gone by without a hitch. I had spent most of it in my room, catching up on all my homework for the week. Jace had even been out of the house most of the day and had only returned home in time for dinner. So all in all, great first day in my new home. If only he would stay out like that every day, but I doubted I'd be so lucky.

I put my stuff on the marble counter and hung up my towel by the spacious bath stall with frosted glass all around, quickly undressing from my light blue pajama pants and white tank top I always slept in and stepped inside the shower, closing the frosted glass door firmly.

As the hot water cascaded down my body, I mulled over how to handle what would happen if Caleb didn't want anything to do with me. I couldn't tell him why could I? Wouldn't he just think of me as a pathetic girl who wouldn't own up to her feelings? God that was so true wasn't it.

I lathered my hair with shampoo and managed to rinse it all out without getting any in my eyes, which, sadly, had happened to me a couple of times. There was just something about blindingly dangerous foam and my eyes that did not mix very well. I quickly repeated the process with conditioner, knowing I couldn't stand around in the deliciously hot water all morning.

I stepped out of the shower and reached for the towel hanging on the wall next to it. Just as my fingers wrapped around the soft cotton a voice made me freeze.

"You know, shaved is really in this year."

I yanked the towel from the rack faster than the speed of light and tried desperately to cover up my privates.

"What the hell are you doing in here?" I shrieked at Jace, my hands clinging onto the towel for dear life. He was casually leaning against the marble counter with a toothbrush in his hand, right next to the open door that led into his bedroom.

"Get out!" A smile appeared on his face before he started brushing his teeth, with no intention of leaving.

"Technically this is also my bathroom so I can come and go as I please." The tone of his voice was that of a person really enjoying himself.

"Get out!" My jaws were clenched as I repeated myself and I reached out behind me, my fingers grabbing for the shampoo bottle or anything else I could throw at his smug face, but just as my fingers closed around a half-full plastic bottle, Jace put down his toothbrush and back away towards the door, hands up in innocent surrender, but the smile never left his lips.

"I'll leave you to dry off," he said before disappearing out of the door and into his room, closing it behind him.
I put the shampoo bottle back down and realized that my hands were trembling. I went back inside the shower stall and closed the glass door, just standing in the steam for a minute, letting myself calm down.
Stupid arrogant jerk!

So much for calming down.

I pulled off the towel and looked down at myself. Shaved? Oh stop thinking about it Chloe. I shook my head and wrapped my body in the towel, making sure it was on there nice and tight before getting out. I went into my room and made sure to lock the door that adjoined with the bathroom.

My face was a nice beetroot shaded colour when I looked into the full-body mirror and I opened a window to get some fresh cold air in. What the hell was he thinking? How could he be so uncaring about my privacy? This was insane! My mind was in an uproar.
