Together
"Mother! Come look! " A little girl with wolf ears and a tail cried out to an older wolf.
The wolf looked at the younger girl and stood up to go to where she was. The older wolf growled when she saw it was a human, a young boy in fact. A young boy with blue hair and a mask. The young girl shuddered hearing her mother's growl, "Mother, what's wrong" the young girl whimpered.
The older wolf shifted into her human form, "nothing Amai leave him, humans only give us shifter's pain." Her mother spoke in a cold voice. Amai, the younger shifter never saw this side of her mother and trembled mildly. "But mother he's hurt-"
"Amai, Dont make me repeat myself." Her mother snarled cutting the younger girl off. "Quickly now" she said before turning a blind eye at the young girl. Amai took one more glance at the young boy before shifting into her wolf form and retreating with her mother. The young boy who wore a mask was on her mind while walking to their den. Upon reaching their den Amai decided to take a chance. "Mother, why did we leave the human there... what if he was hurt or if he needed help!" The young wolf said with concern lacing her small voice. Her mother shifted back into her human form and looked at Amai with a piercing gaze one not filled with any warmth or love that she usually gave Amai. " Amai!" She yelled at the young wolf who jumped at her mother's voice. "Yes mother..." she answered timidly looking up at her mother. "You are never to help a human nor be associated with those vile creatures." Her mother said with disgust all over her beautiful features. "Remember how your father died..." and with that her mother left to go get food without another word. After a while Amai's mother had still not returned, Amai grew worried. Her mother was the only thing she had in this cruel world that robbed her from a Normal childhood and a loving father. She had hope in her mother as she did every other time her mother went out to hunt, today just felt different she didn't know why it just did. As she laid in the den hoping her mother was alright she heard ringing. Ringing from a trap, she ignored it 'mother would never get trapped' she thought. The ringing continued and Amai couldn't stand it anymore. She raced to the ringing in her wolf form, her grayish white fur fighting against the wind. She ran to where the ringing was coming from, her eyes widened at the scene.
It was her mother. She was trapped. Amai was about to run up to her and free her loving mother. Her mother spotted her and howled, looking at Amai with a fierce gaze which told her to run. Amai heard the bushes move she looked towards it and saw people, people with mask. Just like the boy, emerge from the bushes. Guns in hand, Amai took a step back. A worried and horrified expression painted her face. 'Is mother going to die?' She thought. The men loaded their guns and pointed it at the older wolf who looked straight at Amai. Amai felt tears, she watched as her mother looked at her with warm loving eyes. The ones Amai loved so much, as tears fell from her eyes they shot her mother in front of Amai.
She watched in horror as her mother dropped, her once lively lilac eyes still open but dull and lifeless, within seconds her lilac turned into a dull grayish purple. As blood started leaking from the wound. A pool of blood soon surrounded the older wolf. She watched as the men took her mother and put her in a sack. Amai was furious, her hate for humans erupted. She shifted and ran towards the men that killed her dear mother. The men faced her hearing her emerge from the bushes she was once hiding in, drawing their guns ready to shoot the young wolf. But Amai was faster, she jumped at the men. One by one they fell with pools of blood leaking from the gashes she gave them.
Amai looked at her trembling hands, she had just killed people, a lot. She looked at the people she killed, some were disfigured, others missing a limb, it was a gruesome scene. One a child should never see, it was like a blood Bath. She fell to her knees and sobbed crying to the sky. "Mother, father, I'm sorry!" she sobbed over and over asking for forgiveness "I didn't mean to." She cried. Behind her stood the boy with the mask watching her. He watched as the scene took place, he had watched her kill all those men. However He wasn't scared, he too has killed many people. He saw himself in her and watch from afar wanting nothing else but to console the poor girl.
After a while she stood up, her eyes red and puffy from crying for so long, she hands trembling and red from punching the ground, and her hair messy and tangled from pulling it while crying. She looked up, her eyes widened as she saw the little boy from before, tears started to welding up again. "Are you scared of me too?" She asked the boy shyly. He shook his head no and lifted his arm pointing to his mask. She flinched upon him moving, Amai was terrified and didn't know what the mask meant. The little boy then spoke up, "I'm...the...blue...dragon..." he said after many pauses. Amai tilted her head in confusion "your name is blue dragon?" She asked curiously. The little boy shook his head no, "I...have...no...name...but...people...call...me...Seiryuu..." again with the long pauses. Amai looked down, she felt bad for the little boy. "Well I'm Amai!" She said with a small smile, forget what her now deceased mother told her about humans. Talking to this little boy made Amai forget all the bad things that happened she felt comforted with Seiryuu.
The little boy otherwise known as Seiryuu the blue dragon from the story stood in front of her. She didn't know about the tale as she grew up in the woods with little to no social contact. Seiryuu was amazed, someone who wasn't afraid of him. He was happy. " canwebefriends" the little Seiryuu said quickly, Amai looked up with a sad smile. "Seiryuu, do you see those people." She pointed at the dead men scattered with pools of blood surrounding them. The little Seiryuu nodded. Amai looked down "I killed them..." she said looking down ashamed. Seiryuu walked up to her and took her hand catching her by surprise, She flinched at the contact but didn't budge. Then the Seiryuu Moved a bit as if taking something off. Amai looked up in question to what he was doing and saw the little Seiryuu looking back at her with no mask. He had beautiful golden dragon eyes, she was mesmerized and in awe when looking at them. He then reached and Grabbed her other hand, with both of her hands in his grasp and he looked at her straight in the eyes. Without hesitation he said, "I've killed too, it was too protect the villagers from intruders and then casted me out calling me cursed." Amai started tearing up hearing him.'how can this sweet kid be called cursed' she thought as she looked at him.
She let go of his hands only to embrace him in a warm hug, one that both of them needed. 2 broken little kids, both thinking they were cursed, and both trying to survive. Amai looked at the young Seiryuu. "Be my friend, we will survive together" Seiryuu stepped back. He held out his and to the young wolf shifter, "you aren't alone, come with me, so you're never alone." Amai felt a tear slide down her rosy cheek as she took the young Seiryuu's hand. Smiling hand in hand as they walk back to Seiryuu's small hut outside of the village.
they start a new journey.
