The closer we got to Kashyyyks forest floor, the stronger the dark sides prescence became. In fact, it was so strong that it sent shivers up even my spine; That says a lot coming from one who has mastered the dark side and it’s ways. We stepped off the platform and on to the moist ground of Kashyyyk. This entire level of the forest seemed to be covered in fog, prohibiting us from seeing more than a couple feet in front of us. “As your first legitimate training exercise I would like you to use the Force to attempt to locate these so called slavers.” Aidius ordered. I did as he asked and closed my eyes. While I worked on locating the slavers, Master Aidius explained to Nataeus that our eyes could be as deceitful and untrustworthy as the fog that surrounded us. He also explained what the Force is and how to use it to reach out to all living things that surrounded us. WIth that explained, Nataeus worked on locating the slavers as well. Oddly enough he caught on to the concept of the Force and how to use it rather quickly due to the fact that we both located the slavers at the same time. Nataeus was indeed strong in the Force and it was nice to see that he caught on rather quickly. As we walked along using the Force to guide us, I wondered if this jedi training would lead Nataeus away from being a bounty hunter.
It took us about an hour and a half of walking, but we finally made it to the slavers outpost. We hid in the fog and behind the large trees while trying to assess the situation. “So, whats the plan, Master?” I asked. “We go and free the wookiees, but we do not attack unless it is in self defense; the jedi value the lives of others.” Aidius responded. We squinted through the fog and attempted to see what kind of guards were there. (I almost forgot to mention, finding this base was difficult because we could only sense one or two living creatures at it) As we squinted we made out what were the shapes of battle droids. This was a very curious situation. I used the Force to clear out all the fog surrounding the base. It was much larger than we had first anticipated. “Woah...I haven’t seen those kinds of clankers in awhile.” Nataeus said. “Yes, neither have I…” Aidius added. “This is because the CIS was disbanded long ago, so the battle droids were just sort of forgotten; they are outdated in comparison to stormtroopers.” I explained. “Then how are they here?” Nataeus asked. “The people at the top of this business are most likely very wealthy and used their money to purchase their own personal army.” I replied. “That changes everything…” Aidius said. I looked at him curiously. “These aren’t living beings, they’re just droids that were built to kill; We can go on the offensive if we please.” Aidius explained. I was beginning to like how our plan was turning out.
“Hey, did you hear something?” One droid asked. “Nah, your circuits must be fried.” His comrade replied. The droids began to argue over whatever it is they heard (which was probably us). “Lucky for us, they aren’t all too bright.” I said. Nataeus laughed for a moment. “That makes it much more entertaining when we break them to pieces.” He said, his voice dripping with anticipation. “Wait...I have a really good idea; do you have an EMP grenade, Nataeus?” I asked. “I have a few, why do you ask?” Nataeus replied. “Well...how strong are said grenades?” I asked. “Strong enough to fry their circuits in a radius of fifty feet.” He replied. “So I can kill whatever droid is in range of fifty feet of the grenade?” I asked. He nodded in reply. I smirked and confidently strided out to greet the droids who stood at attention with their blaster rifles aimed at me. “Identify yourself!” The droids ordered. “You DARE aim your weapons at ME, droids?!?” I roared. “I am just below the head master of this establishment and the entire business of which you work for, I am your superior!” I explained. I was lying through my teeth but the droids were too dim to realize it. “S-sorry sir!” One of them stuttered. “What is it you need, sir?” The other asked. “I’m here for an inspection of all droids, regardless of their position, and I’d like them all out here right this second; Don’t bother with those men inside, they already know I’m here.” I ordered. I had these guys fooled and their superiors wouldn’t know until it was too late because I was using the Force to mask my presence.
In a few minutes, around two hundred droids stood bunched up into an area I designated to “Inspect” them. It was fifty feet in radius. I tossed the EMP grenade into the crowd and it detonated before the droids knew what hit them. The entire set of them were fried. A moment later I heard uncontrollable laughter from behind me. Master Aidius and Nataeus were giggling like mad men. “That, my good friend, was rather clever!” Nataeus exclaimed. “Those droids really were rather dim, weren’t they?” Aidius chimed in. They both laughed for awhile longer until two men appeared in dark clothing. The real fun started here. “What the hell did you do to our droids, you bastards?!?” One exclaimed in shock. The other one silently glared daggers at us. “I’ll make you pay!” the man said. Suddenly, he revealed a lightsaber and it flew into his hand. “Oh great, Force users...this should be interesting.” I said to myself. The man ignited his lightsaber and it shined a violet hue. Its blade was a bit shorter than most. The silent one also revealed a double-sided lightsaber that glowed blood red. “Ohhh, I do like those lightsabers; I think I’ll be taking them from you.” I announced. “Like hell you will!” The man with the purple lightsaber shouted defiantly. They charged at me and I grabbed my own lightsaber. I ignited it with a snap-hiss, as usual. They began assaulting me but I deflected their blades easily. Whatever faction they were with before, they must have left early on in their training; They were rather sloppy duelists. This wouldn’t be a challenge at all. I found an opening and jumped high over the my two assailants and deactivated my lightsaber. “Oh, are you giving up already?” the noisy one asked tauntingly. I laughed for a moment as they began to charge me once more. I Force pushed them (rather lightly in comparison to what I usually do) and they flew two feet and landed on their backs. I reached out with the Force and deactivated their lightsabers while simultaneously snatching them away. The two weapons flew into my hands.
“You guys are pretty weak; I’ll let you off easy because I don’t like killing unarmed opponents.” I said. The strong silent dark jedi growled a bit and gave a rather powerful Force push. I put out my right hand and stopped it easily. “You have much to learn of the Force my friends, have you ever considered joining the jedi?” I asked them as they stood up. “The jedi? Why would we want to join the jedi?” The noisy one asked. “You’d be able to fight for the light and they cover all expenses for whatever missions you go on, plus you wouldn’t have to do such horrible things to these wonderful wookiees; the jedi will teach you honor and respect, but most importantly, how to redeem yourselves.” I explained. The men seemed to break a little. “I would never have thought that one could give so much mercy…” The noisy one replied. Master Aidius came out from behind the large tree along with Nataeus and explained where the jedi were able to be contacted. I allowed them to escape the planet undetected by the wookiees so that they could go to the jedi; I placed a tracker on their ship as well to make sure they were serious about changing and it seemed that they were. We entered the base and I was happy about the two new lightsabers I’d obtained. I kept the lightsabers and said that they needed to earn their weapons back with the jedi. After about an hour of searching we found prison cells full of wookiees who weren’t too pleased to see us until we explained that we were there to free them.
Around an hour later we found ourselves back in the wookiee village with our newfound friends who were now feasting on a ton of traditional wookiee food. Later that day there was a celebration in honor of the returned wookiees. We were invited of course and gladly attended. We all feasted and drank and had a great time with our new wookiee friends until late into the night. At the end of the night we chose to stay at the jedi barracks until morning. We ended up hanging around the wookiee village for a few days because they insisted that we stay, which was fine by us as long as we could continue our lightside training. We trained with the wookiee jedi and for Master Aidius it was business as usual until we decided to leave kashyyyk. There was a certain jedi in particular that we took a liking to though and wonderfully enough, he liked us just as much. At the end of our stay on Kashyyyk, we had acquired a new companion.
