ღ A Promise ღ

"Do you even know how to drive?" Allison Hargreeves crosses her arms as her brother shot back at her, snarling. "I know how to do everything.." The boy's comeback made (Y/N) jump a bit since it was the first time to hear an argument between Five and his other siblings. Five grabbed (Y/N)'s hand, squeezing it a bit and in an abrupt flash of blue, the both of them disappeared

The two arrived at 'Griddy's'—that place where Five and the others would spend time during their younger years in training. As soon as (Y/N) was near the glass door, sliding it open, the scent of coffee and donuts greeted them. Five was wondering where Agnes was but just nonchalantly decided to sit down and he just rang the bell. A few seconds later, a waitress in dirty blonde hair, a light pink dress and with a small hat came in, standing in front of (Y/N) and Five. "Sorry the sink was clogged," Agnes brought out a small notepad as she clicked her ball pen, ready to take down others, "so, what would it be?"

"Uhh, give me a chocolate eclair.." (Y/N) wasn't sure of what to order but her decision just popped out of her head which was the first thing that came into mind. "The kid wants coffee. Black" Agnes wrote down (Y/N)'s order until she looked up to see his wide smile as if the waitress barked up on the wrong tree (idk why but I laughed at this part😂😂sorry) Agnes just brushed it off in a giggle and looked up to (Y/N)

It only took a short while for them to claim their orders. Five glanced at the bell that was on the table until he saw hired armed gunmen from behind, seen from the bell. A gun was pointed at (Y/N) that didn't surprise the assassin. He had his own proposition in mind, so he had to perform it while the gunmen are just staring in anticipation

It took long enough for Five to defend the both of them from The Handler's worst level of gunmen, but one of them shot (Y/N), which made Five feel badly intimidated. Before (Y/N)'s unconscious body would fall to the ground, he teleported to catch her in his arms. He immediately teleported back home and reported on what happened a while ago

It was morning already and Five had to continue on his duties. The first thing he would do before making a sandwich with peanut butter with marshmallows in it, he would visit on (Y/N) to see if she's still conscious despite her bad injury due to the gunshot. Grace had to do an operation on (Y/N) to take out the bullet from where she was shot

"Can I see her?" Five's voice was low and a little sore. Grace easily studied on how he looked so concern for (Y/N)—she saw Five hyperventilating almost the whole night because he was so worried and fearful agitated. Grace smiled warmly as she walked straight ahead to the kitchen to cook breakfast for the other siblings. Five went close to her as he bent down. By that time his face was just inches away, (Y/N) opened her eyes, Five's eyes looking deeply into hers. Tears started to form in his eyes as one by one they slowly streamed down to his cheeks

"I-I'm..sorry..I-I'm sorry...I'm so sorry! I-it's all my...f-fault.." He was hyperventilating again so he jumbled his words, panicking in not knowing what to say. (Y/N) saw the guilt and despondency inside of him, she placed her hand on his cheek, "Look, Five. I understand you being so considerate and protective of my safety. But I promise," she removes her hand as she used her finger to intertwine it with his finger, "Everything will be ok eventually. Besides, everybody gets hurt at some point in their life.."

Five Hargreeves blushed at her action as she smiled, highlighting his dimples (REEE), "Promise?" He asked softly. (Y/N) lightly nodded, "I promise.." The dark brown haired male gave her a small peck on her lips, this made (Y/N) feel more better
