(Y/N)'S POV

"Hermione Granger,"
The lady said as a brown haired girl walked onto the chair, while muttering something.

"GRYFFINDOR!"
Said the sorting hat. It was quite frightening to be honest. Getting sorted into your houses. "What do you think your house is, (Y/N)?" asked my new friend, Taura. I simply shrugged and she giggled.

"Taura Lockets," Professor McGonagall called. I quickly whispered a 'good luck' to her, which she returned with a small smile. After a few moments, it finally decides for her to also be in Gryffindor. Good for her.

"Harry Potter," The hall suddenly went quiet. A few whispers were heard. "Not Slytherin, not Slytherin," he muttered. "Not Slytherin? You could do good in Slytherin!" It spoke to him. He looked at me as I smiled, couraging him. Did I just really smiled to The Boy Who Lived?

"Anything but Slytherin." "Better be... GRYFFINDOR!" The Gryffindor table erupted with claps and screams. After a few more kids, it was finally my turn. I sat on the stool and waited. "A difficult one... You would perfectly be in..."

It stopped talking for a while, followed by the entire hall. "GRYFFINDOR!" It shouted in my ear. I think I'm gonna lose my hearing if I listen to more of this.

The Gryffindor table clapped and roared as I walked to them. I saw an empty spot right next to Harry. Why not, right? Soon enough, all the kids introduced themselves and I'm pretty sure I could only remember a few.

I looked over at the raven haired boy, who was extending his hand with a smile to me. "I'm Harry. Harry Potter," "Pretty sure almost everyone knows that. Oh, and I'm (Y/N) (Y/L/N).". I heard him mutter something but I couldn't hear it properly because of the shouts.

After a few hours, we got in our common room and can I just say that it's gorgeous. As I walked around, I didn't notice someone was watching me. But yeah, It was awesome.

Harry's POV

I entered the common room with awe. (Y/N)'s expression is priceless. I didn't notice I was staring at her for a long time until Ron nudged my rib. "Fancying (Y/N), huh?" "N-no, of course not, I just met her-". My sentence was cut by (Y/N). "What're you guys talking about?" "Ron and I were just talking, um, about... the common room! yes, we were talking about the common room. Right, Ron?"

Ron just shrugged and left us. The only people in here are just only us. An awkward silence fell between us. Until she decided to speak. "So... Were you hoping for another house...?" I smiled at her question. It does make sense actually.

"I don't think so... You?" It was her turn to smile. "Well I was hoping for (Y/H) (A/N this one is only if you're not in Gryffindor) but... You can't say no to the Sorting Hat that's already here for decades, can you?"

We both laughed at her sentence. Suddenly, Percy walked in. "Why aren't you two asleep? It's already over curfew! Now go to your dorms because tomorrow are your first lessons. Goodnight!".

We both said 'goodnight' and went to our dorms. I think (Y/N) is the sweetest person I've ever met. I'm lucky enough to have her as my friend.

(Y/N)'s POV

In my dorm were with Taura, Hermione and Lavender, still awake and talking. "So how was your time with Harry?" Taura asked and the girls giggled. I felt the heat rush to my cheeks. "Shut up. I wanna sleep," We all laughed quietly.

"Goodnight everyone!"
