One Shot

She is known as the curse girl of the lake and the only way she can free herself from the lake, where she was curse, if the guy she fall in love with returns her feelings and love her without asking for anything and does not feared her it will lift up the curse but if he failed to love her, cherish her and didn't return her feelings in three days the curse girl will disappear.

It's been a year since the heart breaking moment of their lives happen.
Mizuno was an odd girl living in the lake where in he is guarded by his best friend Shin, she also met a guy name Nathan a guy who lives in the city and currently having his vacation in the province, he was also the guy who stole Mizuno's heart.

It all started in a hot summer day when Nathan decided to have a tour around the place, since he was not familiar with it, he asked his mom for permission if it's okay to walk around, his mom agreed and told him to come back before dinner time. He ran outside with a full speed while wearing a big smile on his face showing how excited he was but unfortunately no one was outside because of the hot weather. While walking silently he found a lake, he walked towards it and there he saw a guy and a girl that was talking with each other. He started to walk towards them and greet them with a big warm smile, the girl was shocked while the other guy in front of her stared him. Nathan look them and said
“Why? Did I scare you that much and left you so speechless?"
the girl got back to her senses and said
“No, no, Don't worry. I'm just shocked that you are talking to me" she said while smiling.
Nathan wondered why she said that but he refused to ask questions regarding to it, instead he asked the both of them if he can join them, the girl answered
“Yes" while nodding her head and the other guy just glared at him. While talking with them he suddenly shouted
“Ah! I totally forgot to introduce myself." he laughed and start introducing
“I'm Nathan. I'm currently having my vacation here. What about the both you?"
The girl started to introduce herself and his best friend
“I'm Mizuno and this is Shin my bestfrie-" but before she finished her introduction Shin cut her and said
“You really ask that now when in fact you're already playing with us this late" he said while he clicked his tongue. Mizuno tapped Shin's shoulder and scolded him for his attitude towards their new friend. When Mizuno finished scolding Shin he face nathan and said
“Nathan I'm sorry his just like that but Shin is very kind I promise"
Nathan just smile and said
“It's okay he is also right it's my fault. Dont worry it's really okay." After that Nathan suggest something
“Why dont we swim here! Since it's very hot" Mizuno agreed to swim but Shin chose to stay under the tree.
After a couple of hour playing and sharing some of their stories Nathan decided to go home since it's already late and he promised to get back before dinner time.

As the day goes by they began to be so close except for Shin. Nathan seems to feel the distance between him and Shin that's why he tried to asked Mizuno about it but the only thing she said was
“Don't mind him. He is just being stubborn" Nathan thought about it but he stopped minding it thus he changed their topic, and when the sun started to set he decided to bid his farewell and go back. As soon as he left Mizuno asked Shin why is he acting so cold towards Nathan, but he answered it with a question
“And you, why are you being so friendly with him? You don't even know him." she tried to defend herself and answered
“What is wrong with being friendly with him. It's not like he has a bad intension being close with us" Shin raised his voice and answered
“You know what is wrong! Don't act like you don't know! You know that you can't live with this forever. You know it yourself if he learns the truth about you  do you really think he will still be able to be with you?" when she heard those words tears fell into her eyes and said with a cracking voice
“I k-know. I-i know. But c-can't I enjoy this k-kind of life?" he didn't give any reply and decided to leave her and give her some space.

Morning arrived and then again Nathan went to the lake and play with Mizuno. When he arrived there he noticed that Shin wasn't there he asked Mizuno where is Shin but Mizuno answered that she didn't know. Nathan suggested to visit Shin's house since he didn't know what happen between Mizuno and Shin, he asked her to tag along but Mizuno refused. Nathan wondered why but he decided not to insist and don't go either since he didn't know where Shin lives. Mizuno and Shin just talk all day. Nathan keep on talking and talking and then suddenly she cut him and asked a strange question
“Nathan, what if I told you that I'm different from what you see?" Nathan looked at her so confused and asked
“What do you mean?" but instead of answering him she gave him a sad smile and said
“Nothing don't mind me" and laugh bitterly then she changed their topic. As the day continue they talk all day when it's time for him to go home he said
“Oh I almost forgot to tell you I'll be gone for five days I'll go back to Manila and arrange my papers for my enrollment" she gave him a smile and said
“Really take care when are you going to leave?" he answered her
“Tonight" with his smile fading away Mizuno was shocked but still keep her composure and said
“Is that so, that's very quick but take care also before you leave I just want to confess something" he looked at her with a confused look
“I know it's weird and not the right time but just to be free from this I want to say that I like you" he is so surprised when he heard those words and he said
“I like you too but I want to confess my feelings to you in a more formal way so can you wait for me until I came back from Manila." she nodded and smile. Nathan was delighted to hear those words since he also like her but he decided not to take it so fast since he was going back to Manila and thinking that he might stay longer there since his going to arrange his papers for his enrollment.
