I was running in circles, it was an endless loop. I fell down, but stood up almost immediately, not knowing where to go and there was nowhere to hide. Someone was running after me who wants nothing but my life.
Scrapes and bruises were visible on my skin but pain can be hardly felt. And pain was nothing compared to the wild beatings of my heart, wanting to get out of this dark place.
My body wanted to give up. I can no longer feel my own feet. But the determination and the burning desire to survive was ruling over me so I kept running for my life.
I was running while my head kept looking back, making sure that I was far enough from the man that was following me. I stumbled unto someone that made me fall backwards. Adrenaline rush came surging and the next thing I knew was the explosion of the gun from my own hand, causing the unidentified man in front of me to drop.
"Roseanne, i-it's me..." I heard a familiar voice. I wasn't sure at first and my mind was in haywire because of two things. First, my own life was in danger and second, I shot someone. "It's me... Jung In."
I gasped upon taking a good look at him. His right arm was bleeding, an injury that I caused. I dropped the gun with shaking hands.
"M-mister Jeon? Jeon Jung In?" I couldn't believe my eyes. I couldn't believe that the former Governor who was believed to be dead was half kneeling in front of me, his left hand was holding his bleeding arm.
"Oh my god... I'm... Oh my god. I'm so sorry. Let me help you." I had questions in mind but seem unimportant as of the moment. I pushed the thought away and kneeled in front if him to help him stand.
"What are you doing here, kid?"
That was when I remembered Taehyung. He was shot in front of me. I was held captive but somehow managed to escape. I haven't seen Taehyung. Just remembering the whole scene made me drop on my knees and burst into tears.
