"Prince, hey, look at me. It's okay. It's only a flower." I whispered, trying to get Jinyoung's attention
My eyes darted to the door quick enough to see Yugyeom bolt out of it.
I wrapped my arms around Jinyoung tighter as I looked back to him. His head now pressed firmly against my chest. The room filled with his loud sobs. My shirt and pants quickly being littered with tear droplets.
I rubbed his arm as soothingly as I could, "Taeyong will be here soon. He'll be able to help you more."
My gaze shifted to the now wilted peace lilies. I knew nymphs like Jinyoung could cause different plants to grow depending on their mood without realizing. But I never knew they could kill them as well.
There was loud stomps in the hallway. Taeyong and Yugyeom's scents filling my nose as they came closer.
In an instant Taeyong was kneeling in front of me. Yugyeom's presence radiating behind me.
"Oh god, Jinyoungie."
I watched Taeyong softly take hold of one of Jinyoung's hands. He pressed it between his own and started to mumble in Greek.
"Jinyoung, τι έγινε Τι συνέβη?"
I heard Jinyoung sniffle, "Κατέστρεψα την ειρήνη."
Taeyong looked up at me, "He says he killed the peace."
"My lillies, he was holding onto them and he ended up making them die. But they're just flowers. If the roots are fine then we can grow them back."
Jinyoung's head whipped back and forth against my chest.
"Όχι, οι ρίζες καταστράφηκαν. Εγώ τις κατέστρεψα. Εγώ τα κατέστρεψα. "
Taeyong made eye contract with me, "What were you talking about when it all happened."
I racked my brain to try to think about it. But the only thing I could think about is my poor little prince, shaking in my arms.
It must have been obvious that I wasn't thinking straight because Yugyeom answered for me.
"The myrmidon that was found in Bang Chan's territory and how they're reaching farther into our territory."
I could feel Jinyoung start to shake more violently as his crying got louder.
Taeyong lowered his head and moved it closer to Jinyoung.
"Σε αυτό αναφέρεσαι; Κατηγορείς τον εαυτό σου για τους Μυρμιδόνες;"
Jinyoung nodded to whatever Taeyong said and started talking.
When he was done, the small man looked back to me, "He thinks the myrmidons are his fault. He says if he was never found, and if he never came here, I would still be safe. That the packs wouldn't have to worry about them."
I felt a stab to my heart with every word. My arms subconsciously tightening around Jinyoung again.
I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself for a second.
I gave Taeyong a firm nod before asking him and Yugyeom to leave. When I heard my door close I stood up, Jinyoung still in my arms, and I moved to the bed.
I sat him down in it, making sure he was supported by as many pillows as I could find. I then sat across from him and held out my hands. Palm up, fingers spread out wide.
I stared at my hands as his crying got the smallest bit quieter.
I could see the tips of his fingers coming into my view. His own hands quickly resting in my palms. I gently wrapped my fingers around his.
"You didn't cause any of this my prince. Not a single thing. The myrmidons have always been a threat. Maybe you coming here caused them to notice us a bit more, but you also helped us insanely by coming here."
"You see, a wolf pack consists of multiple categories. The main categories being alphas, betas, and omegas. Alpha are the strongest and the bravest. But just because the are the strongest at first, doesn't mean the will always be the strongest. An alpha can lose its title by losing a fight with a beta. That beta will then become the new alpha."
I looked up to him and saw him staring back at me. Now only a small stream flowing from his beautiful eyes. Beautiful eyes that were slowly turning purple.
I continued talking, "But you already knew all of this. Didn't you?"
He nodded.
"Well, then I'm sure you will also know everything else I'm about to tell you. But I'll say it always."
"An alpha male can become stronger by having an alpha female at his side. She will help more than a beta ever could. So even though that alpha male will always have a threat around him. That could be the threat of a beta trying to over throw him, an outside animal trying to make his pack its next meal, or anything of the sort. As long as he has his lovely female by his side, he'll conquer that threat."
I let my thumbs brush over his skin slowly as his crying stopped completely. His eyes now the deep lilac I had saw earlier today. I could feel my cheeks warm as I looked at it.
So I tilted my head away slightly and stopped making eye contact, "Now, you may not be an alpha female, but you are my alpha male. I don't care if thousands of myrmidons attack us at once. As long as you are here with me, this pack will get through it. Every pack will."
I risked looking back up at him to see him smiling softly at me.
His mouth parted slowly as he seemed to piece together everything I said.
I felt my hands get tugged softly, so I looked down at them. Watching as he pressed our interlocked hands against his chest.
"Jinyoungie will ma-make his alph-alpha strong."
I smiled back at him, "As I will do the same."
I heard a soft tapping against the window and as I turned I smiled more. Camellias were growing in thick vines across the glass.
"Wow, you really are strong my love."
