-Later that day-
You were sitting on the couch of the Night Class Dormitory waiting for Yuki and Zero. Everyone had left to go to class except for Takuma, who was sitting in the chair beside the couch reading a book.
"Shouldn't you be in class with everyone else Takuma?" You asked.
Takuma looked up from his book and gave you a warm smile. Your chest tightened at that smile and you turned away. Despite the terms on how you two broke up, there was something about him that still got to you.
"I was just keeping you company. I didn't think you would want to sit here alone until they got here (name)." He said.
"It feels like I'm by myself anyway since we're not talking. Won't Kaname get mad at you anyway?"
Takuma smiled again and book.
"Well we're talking now. I also told Kaname I was going to be late anyway. Besides, shouldn't you be worried about Aido?"
"What about him?"
"He should be here with you right, and I didn't see him leave with the others." He said.
You sighed.
"He had other things to do Takuma. I shouldn't be worried about him because he can make his own choices. You shouldn't be worried about him either, but I'm sure he appreciates your concern."
Takuma just smiled and looked toward the door, which had slowly started to open.
"Ah good evening Yuki, Zero." Takuma said while smiling.
"Good evening Takuma. Are you going to patrol with us too?" Yuki asked.
Zero shut the door and stood beside her; hands in his pockets and his eyes steel cold.
"No I was just keeping (name) company. I'll leave you to your businesses."
Takuma got up from the chair with his book, gave a smile to you and Yuki before leaving the dorm. Yuki smiled at you and walked over to the place were Takuma was sitting and sat down. Zero followed suit, but sat on the far end of the couch that you were on.
"Where's Aido?" Yuki asked.
"Doing what he does best; slacking off. It'll just be us three." You said.
Zero scoffed and you glared at him.
"Problem?"
"So he's out there doing who knows what while we're doing all the work. What's to stop him from slacking off from doing his job?" Zero said.
"Didn't know you cared so much, since you guys have it under control." You responded.
"I don't give a damn what Aido or you do. I'm not trying to get blamed for something I didn't do." Zero said while looking you dead in the eye.
