"Welcome, everyone. Welcome to the very first season of Finding Miss Charming. I'm your host, Stewart Harvey, and this will be a summer to remember as fifteen beautiful women battle it out for the heart of our favorite useless lesbian."I chuckle at Stewart's words, breaking me from the sheer shock of it all. I still can't believe I've been selected to be the very first Miss Charming. I figured I'd sign up as a joke. My friend's didn't believe I would actually go through with it, but I did, and now I'm actually here.
I haven't even come out to my grandma yet.
As the limo comes to a stop, my clip plays and I can't help but cringe at seeing myself on camera.
It goes through clips of me playing baseball, me getting really excited over winning in a game of cards, me cooking, me drawing, then me painting. Layered over the top of it all is me introducing myself, talking a bit about myself, what I like to do, and speaking about how I'm looking for love.
Once the clip finishes the driver gets out and opens the door for me. I fix my collar and adjust my blazer before making the conscious decision to get up, tugging at my sleeves a bit as I do so.
I have on a sleeveless cream blazer, with a light grey sleeveless sweater over the the top of a white button-up. I've paired it with a pair of white jeans and dark brown Tims. I added my favorite ROXY watch that's silver with a brown wristband as an accessory.
As I hop out of the vehicle, my jaw nearly drops at the sight of the giant mansion in front of me. I'm surprised they went all out with the budget here, I figured they would just dump it all into 'The Bachelor' to be completely honest.
I run a hand through my hair before pushing up my glasses as they begin to slide down my face.
I trip up a bit on my stroll over to Stewart and feel my cheeks redden, I'm on television.. millions of people are going to see that. I'm so clumsy, this is going to be one heck of a summer.
Stewart laughs a bit at my mishap, but downplays it and shakes my hand.
"Welcome, Hayden. How are you feeling?"
It's not until he asks the question that I it hits me that I'm really here. I suddenly get a surge of excitement and jump up a bit as I truly glance around for the first time.
"I'm feeling great, I'm super excited to be here." My words are drenched in my genuine excitement and anxiousness.
I've always been a super excitable person and have never really liked to worry too much. Even when I do worry, it never goes on for too long before I get super pumped all over again.
Seeming to feel the buzzing positive energy radiating off of me, Stewart chuckles and nods.
"I'm excited that you're excited. Now, you know what to do!" He passes it over to me and smiles assuringly before gesturing to the entrance of the house.
I head into the gigantic house and try my best to seem like an average contestant, sitting down on the couch and fiddling with my watch without a clue as to what else to do at the moment.
The plan is that I'm supposed to pretend as if I'm one of the contestants before I get the queue to reveal myself as this year's Miss Charming. The audience knows who I am due to the clip having been played, but none of the contestants will know who I am as the producers decided it would be more interesting if they held off on announcing it.
I do feel a tad guilty about lying, but I know it's all in good fun.
I tap my foot in anticipation of whose going to walk into the door first and soon enough a blonde girl with beautiful ocean blue eyes walks in.
