Chapter by: Me
Milo's POV.
"Tch. Password protected. Any Idea's Milo?" I heard Ethan ask, and I started to think about it. "Password?" I asked, before shaking my head. "Nevermind, I got it." I heard him say, his back facing me. "How did you--" "Why do you think River puts up with my shit? I get him the answer sheets for his tests, and he tolerates me. As simple as that." Ethan said over me. I rolled my eyes as I heard a few clicks, and the monitor was showing something. I walked closer and put my hand on the chair. "First, let's see what happened in that office." Ethan said, and I looked at the monitor. "Ethan, that's not the office." I told him. He blinked a few times and changed it away from the washrooms. "I hit the wrong number. Leave me alone. I'm tired." Ethan said. I watched the office, but nothing was happening. "Maybe you should speed up the feed?" This new girl said. "Why?" Ethan snapped at her. I pointed at the top of the monitor, showing him the time. "Ok, speeding up the feed." Ethan said and pulled my finger away from the screen.
"There she is." Ethan said and froze the feed. He backed it up slightly before hitting play. There Lily was walking into the office, then there was nothing. "How long was she there for?" I asked him, before a man walked in. "Who's that?" This new girl asked. "I don't know, I can't see his face." Ethan said, not being his playful self. "The door opening." I said, turned Ethan back to the monitor. That man came back out, he was built much bigger than I was. Ethan paused the feed and stared at the screen, his hand dragging down, stopping at his sister. Her eyes were not looking right, like she passed out, with her eyes still open. Her once lively, sparkling blue eyes, now dull and clouded over. The man holding her was wearing a hat, making his face hard to see in the cameras. "It looks like he's done this a time or two." Ethan muttered.
"Here's the recording of the hospital wing." Ethan said, bring it up for the new girl with us. She walked closer to the monitor and stared over Ethan's other shoulder. Two men walked into the wing. Both talked to the nurse at the front desk before both walked into one of the rooms. There was nothing for a moment, before one walked out and back up to the desk. The man who walked back up to the desk, took up a lot of room and started to talk up a storm to the nurse. The nurse kept talking back to him as the other man walked out with the sibling. They look so small and helpless. "Ava." I heard the new girl mutter, and I looked over at her. I stared back at the screen, seeing the eyes looked almost the same.
"There's a pretty clear connection between both kidnappings. They played out all too similarly." Ethan said, sighing. I nodded at him, before I looked back at the screens. "Follow them." The new girl said, panic in her voice. "Alright, alright. I was going to do that anyway." Ethan said, turning back to face the screen. With a few clicks, we found the men again. They both were in the back parking lot, loading both of them into a car, before driving off. We kept watching before we saw Ethan walk out of the school. "DAMMIT! I must have just missed them!!" Ethan growled, his hands in the air. "Shh! Do you WANT to get arrested?" I asked, smacking my hand over his mouth. Ethan sat there quietly as he looked up at me. I pulled my hand away from him and nodded at him. "So, the question now is: where were they taken? There aren't as many camera's out and about the streets...not sure I'd be able to find anything that'd say where they went...I can look though." Ethan said, and I nodded at him. The new girl nodded at him too, and Ethan turned to face the monitors again.
"Tch, nothing. A few cameras caught the car going down streets...but no end location." Ethan said, the anger ran through his voice. He turned back to us and stared. "Now what?" He asked, and I started to think about it. We could--"What if we check the road on the last street that the car was recorded on?" I asked, and Ethan nodded at me. Ethan turned and switched off the computer. Ethan jumped out of the chair, and I followed after him. "Sounds good! We'll do that tomorrow morning. In the meantime, I'm going to go get some sleep!" Ethan said, before breaking the window. He hung out the window before falling back. I ran up to the window and put my hands on the cile. "Wait how are we going to fix that?!" I yelled down at him. Ethan landed on the ground like cats do and smirked up at me. "Simple! You don't! They can consider it our gift to them!" He yelled back, before running off.
