Feeling Troubled

The royal families planned and planned the wedding. The groomsmen helped plan out Hugo's bachelor banquet, and the bridesmaids helped plan Sofia's bachelorette banquet.

The bride and groom were each trying out their clothes for the wedding, but it wasn't going too well for either of them. Amber wanted Sofia to wear a fancy, ruffly dress that was white and royal blue. The fancy dress was strapless and embroidered at the neckline. There was a crystal motif at the empired bodice, silk organza ruffles, and a long sweep train.

"There's no way I'm wearing this gown," blanched Sofia. "It looks ridiculous. I don't want Hugo to feel sick when he sees me on our wedding day."

"Oh, Sofia, the dress is beautiful and you'll be fine," said Amber. "Take it in a little more," she said to the dressmaker. "I don't want my baby sister to look like she's wearing a circus tent when her groom sees her."

"But, Amber I can hardly breathe now," frowned Sofia.

"Oh, Sofia, you can breathe later, after the wedding," said Amber. "Axel said that blue is your color scheme."

"Not just blue," said Sofia. "He said light blue was the color scheme, and this is dark blue."

Just then, they heard Hugo cry, "Ouch! Please not so tight, James!"

Amber went to see what was going on. The groomsmen were helping Hugo with his tuxedo, and James was tightening Hugo's vest...a little too tightly.

"Is it supposed to be this tight?" Hugo asked.

"Not really," said Axel.

"Don't be ridiculous," said James. "You don't want to look like a circus tent, especially in front of your blushing bride-to-be." He tightened the vest more, which made it hard for Hugo to breathe.

"James, you're making it hard for me to breathe," wheezed Hugo.

"Well, you have two solutions, Hugo," said Amber. "You can either call off the wedding or get married to Sofia and catch lung cancer."

Axel was really angry, and he glared, "Amber, that's no way to talk to my baby brother!"

"Amber and James can't help it, Axel," said Hugo. "Sofia is lucky she never inherited their craziness."

Sofia came in and sighed sadly. "Oh, I thought this wedding was going to be fun, but it's only tearing everybody apart," she sighed as if she was about to cry. "Maybe getting married really is the biggest mistake I'll ever make. I never thought getting married would cause this much trouble."

"Honey, don't be so sad," said Hugo. "I'm sure we'll all get along by the night of the wedding, and leave all the troubles behind."

"Okay," said Sofia.

Axel looked at Sofia's goofy wedding dress. "I thought the color scheme was light blue," he said. "This blue is too dark."

"And I thought you wanted something simple," said Hugo.

"Yeah, I'd better get this thing off," said Sofia. She ran off to remove the dress.

"Let me fix this vest before you forget to breathe," Axel said, fixing his little brother's vest.

Hugo and Sofia were really hoping Amber and James could get along with him by the day of the wedding. It seemed like it was going to be a hard wedding day for them.
