My eyes flew open and I looked around to see I was in a room in my bed I could smell coffee. I slowly rose out of bed, yawning as I lazily walked to the bathroom.  I went to the sink and made a face at my reflection, my hair was a mess and I looked like shit. I went to grab my tooth brush and brushed my teeth. I brushed my hair then once I was done with that I headed out the bathroom, as I was heading to my room I bumped into something hard. I looked up to see it was Mia- my best friends brother, Dominic. My heart immediately stopped and it was like the air was sucked out of me. I thought he was in prison? Did he get out early or something. "Dominic, uh, what are you doing here?" I spoke. He looked down at me with his eyebrow raised. "I live here?" He responded in confusion. "Oh, right." I awkwardly said, my lips went into a thin line as he stared at me. Honestly.. he was making me nervous. He always did, With that intimidating stare and that frown he always wore on his face. "What are you doing here." He said. "Oh, right after you went..to prison- Mia needed a roommate to pay the bills, so I offered to live here since I was in need of a roommate too." I smile awkwardly. He nodded, "well it's good to see you Q," he looked me up and down. "You look..good." He looked me in my eyes and I could of swore I saw a glimpse of a smile in them. "Uh, you too dom. Welcome home." "Thanks." He said as he moved around me and headed to his room and shut the door. I took a deep breath, "well that was awkward." I muttered as I made my way downstairs.

I headed to the kitchen, Mia was in there making coffee. "Good morning." She chirped. "Morning." I yawned. "In need of some coffee?" She teased. "Very much in need." I said, she chuckled, pouring some into a cup, adding cream and sugar into it before sliding it over to me. "Thanks Love face." I smirked at her, she shook her head and smiled. "Why didn't you tell me today was the day dom got out." I said, she leaned over the counter and smirked. "Why, you would've got dressed real nice for him if I told you?" She teased. I playfully rolled my eyes at her as she laughed. "Seriously, when are you gonna tell him." "Tell him what? That I'm secretly in love with him?" I chuckled. ",it doesn't even matter if I did, he's with letty anyway, I couldn't do that to her. She's our friend." "Yeah she's our friend but she knew you liked dom first and she went for him anyway." Mia sighed. "Quinn, you're too nice. Stop worrying about everyone else and worry about yourself for once." I sighed, I knew she was right, I'm too kind, it was a curse and a blessing. I've had a crush on Dom the moment I met the torettos.. my dad was very close with Mia and Dom's Dad, they were best friends. Inseparable. So naturally I became best friends with Mia, she was like my sister. Our bond grew stronger over the years and my crush for Dom grew even stronger as well. We both had a love for cars and racing ..thanks to our fathers and I just loved how he cared about his family, even people who weren't his blood. Blood or not they were his family, people gravitated towards dom including myself.. I don't know it was just something about him, but he would never look at me the way I look at him. I was his little sister's best friend .. practically like his second little sister and well letty.. as she grew older he started having eyes on her , it broke me a little but I knew then that I wouldn't have a chance. So I never tried and letty and dom became a thing and now I just have to deal with it.

"I'm gonna go get ready for work." I said and she nodded with a small smile. I jogged up the stairs and walked into my room, closing my door behind me. I went to my closet to found something to wear, I slipped on some boy boxers, black baggy khaki pants hanging them loosely around my waist, then I threw on a white crop top wife beater, i slipped on my dr. Martens. I grabbed my keys to my black and red Nissan skyline . I jogged down stairs to see Mia waiting for me. "You feel like driving today? I'm too lazy." Mia said causing me to laugh. I jingled my keys Infront of her, "I'll drive." I replied. She smiled before yelling "Dom! We're going to work, your welcome to join us later on if you feel like it!" "Alright!" He yelled back. We headed outside and to my car, I started the ignition as Mia put on her seatbelt. I grabbed my sunglasses from the dashboard, sliding them on. "Buckle up." I smirked as I pressed on the gas causing the engine to rev up. "Oh lord." Mia groaned as I sped down the street.

I hoped you guys like the first chapter!! I'm alittle rusty on writing so bare with me .😭 I'm really excited about writing this book , I've always been a big fan of the fast and furious series and vin diesel so I hope you guys will like what I have in store for this book.
