Holding my nerve my eyes narrow towards him, as his hateful words illustrate his intent clearer than any picture painted on a canvas. I held my ground, ears twitching erratically.
"Back off there is no place for people like you here." I expelled to the approaching man.

"Or what.. prey tell. Me and my men could make a nice piece of you.. well perhaps after I'm finished and have beat you to a pulp." He said. My eyes shot open and wide as a chill spiralled down my back sending every hair on end as he merely reveals intention with very little to go off.

'Bzzzzz....'

'Bzzzzz...'

My phone hummed in my pocket. I froze as to not trigger a rapid response from either party.

"If it wasn't for those ears of yours someone in this rechid city would actually find you attractive..." he grunted and mocked bursting into laughter along with some of the gang members around him. He nodded and I was hastily grabbed and pulled up against a tree and tied back. The passing cars would occasionally light up the park other than the dim lights which didn't come on tonight due to maintenance or something like that, but this seemed to be there greatest opportunity for what they were about to do to me.. my phone buzzed a bit more in my rear pocket.
A hand aggressively reached into that pocket and grasped my phone, then groping my ass. "Hey!! Give it back!" I yelled and struggled. What seems to of been the leader of them made hand gesture and I was gaged and booted in my kidney. Falling down only slightly but slumped over. "Undress her boys you know what has to be done to show this scum a lesson.

Because your see here doll your kind are filth and should be equals to us or even allowed to live, the war failed us and our people and look where it got us and the rest of human kind... having to see you and others like you every day. Earlier tonight brothers close friend had been stabbed by a hybrid but didn't do anything as the cops had claimed it was self defence on the hybrids end from cctv." He explained vengefully yet calmly as if it wasn't his motivation for this.
The rest of his gang began tearing up my clothes right off me and laughing at my panic as I squealed and struggled. But before they could get close, flashes of blue and red lit up the night as police cars rushed the park.

Franticly sorting themselves everyone ran one of them dropping my phone just out of my possible reach the last man looking at me before he makes his get away.

"You haven't seen the last of me mutt." He grunted and ran. To what I hope is the last time I will see him.

Cop had then swarmed the park and midway through. I screamed though muffled to get their attention. "Lieutenant! Over here! We have a hybrid tied to this tree... you may know her!" One of them yelled while others searched about the place. The lieutenant was a well built man with gentle stubble round his face, he had dark skin which only strengthened his build and character about him as he had a bold smile. "Ma'am are you okay?" He said as he jogged over to me. He came to realise who I was then called over an assistant of his. "Jackson! Come give miss blaze here a hand and untie her for me." He sternly ordered. With his assistant making his way over trying not to look at my exposed body, blushing and going red in his face he adjusted his glasses. "A..are you okay miss blaze? Would you like me to g..get a blanket for you?" He stuttered a bit nervously as he untied me from the tree with a few glances downward at me.

"I'll be fine thank you, I'll just walk home like this I'm not embarrassed about myself but it's a little colder now. And to be fully honest I had to go shopping anyway as you can see " I said as my chest working overworking the slightly small bra that had just survived the encounter. I then thought to myself. "Damn I really liked that outfit too."

I got up and brushed myself off and salvaged what I could. "You know what yeah I'll have a blanket please." I calmly and somewhat nervously said. "And perhaps a lift home?" I added quietly to my previous statement. To which the kind young police man nodded and went to ask for a blanket. We then walked back through the park to of which the lieutenant had stopped me. 'I will stop by at a later date to get a statement of the events that had occurred.so for the time being try be close by if you can' he said sternly yet warm. It made me smile knowing that once hated to the point of near extinction humans and hybrids can live side by side. Soon to be equals.

I had got in the back of the police car blanket around me and sat in near complete silence.
