Book 1 - A Painful Loss - A Skeppy and Technoblade Fanfiction

-Recovery-

Vincent and Techno sit in Zak's Hospital room where he is gaining treatment. So far the Doctor's say that he is recovering well and Techno can see it. He had just woken up (it's 9 am) and he's alert again.

Techno sees Zak look over to them, where Vincent and him were sitting on a pull out couch that turns into a bed in the Hospital room.

"Hiiiiii." Zak greats with a tired voice.

"Hey man I'm glad you're alright."

"I didn't know you were here already." Zak comments as Techno walks over next to his bed sitting on a chair.

'Probably doesn't remember last night.' Techno thought to himself. "I rushed over here so I could steal your sub count."

"Hey!" Zak pouts and Techno just laughs and he could hear Vincent giggle behind him. "That is mean!"

"I don't see how that is mean, it's just taking back what is mine."

Zak rolled his eyes while Techno giggles. Then Techno's face softens. "I am glad you're alright man."

"Yeah." Vincent jumps in walking over to them. He sits down next to Techno while also saying "I was so scared that someone took you..."

Zak sighs. "I know... and I am so sorry."

Techno then notices how broken he looked. His eyes had bags on them, he had messy hair, and he looked a little bit thin.

"So... why didn't you come back home?" Vincent asks.

Zak sighs. He sits up in his hospital bed looking over at them. "I never intended to come back... I wanted to die peacefully under the stars." Zak looked at his bed sheets fighting his tears then looked up back at Techno and Vincent. "I just miss him. I wanted to see him again."

Techno had never seen Zak so sad before. He had been friends with him for years and he was always trolling and joking around. Always the light in every voice-call. It hurt Techno to see Zak this way.

Techno got up from his chair and sat down next to Zak. Zak looked up at Techno and Zak slowly fell into his lap.

"Nothing is gonna be easy Skep." Techno mumbled as Zak kept his eyes half opened. "But I am here. A6D is here. We won't go through this alone bud."

"...thanks." Zak mumbled. "By the way you can call me Zak if you like."

"Skep sounds "cuter" Techno replies. Then he stops for a second. What did he just say? He looks over to see Vincent giggling a little.

Then Vincent sits up and walks over to them putting his hand on Zak. "Techno is right, Zak. We will do this together."

It had just turned 5 pm and Zak was finally allowed to go home as long as someone was with him. Techno was very tired as he didn't sleep last night.

But he didn't want to ruin his sleep schedule so when they got home, Vincent helped him move his things in. After Techno set up his computer he starts walking to the living room watching highlights of todays Minecraft Monday that he missed on his phone. Techno decided to just attend the next one. One week missed didn't matter to him much as long as Zak was okay.

He notices Zak sitting at the couch with a bowl on the coffee table and a black and red blanket wrapped around him. The bowl was full of chicken noddle soup but he didn't look happy.

"Hey nerd." Techno saids as he walks in. "Whats up ya alright?" he asks as he turns off his phone and puts his headset around his neck.

"Scared to eat is all. What if I get a stomachache again?" Zak replies worryingly

"You don't know until you try."

"Maybe..."

With some more comfort from Techno Zak finally started to eat. After a bite Zak noticed how hungry he was and gobbled it up.

"Wow what are you, Kirby?" Techno joked. "Or a pvp legend you just destroyed that soup it didn't know what was coming."

Zak looked up at him. Then smiled. He giggled. "Quit it Techno."

"Naaaa just stating facts boi."

Vincent pokes his head in the living room. He tears up just seeing Zak smiling and laughing again.

Vincent knew what Techno was doing right there and then. He was saving Zak.
