As always you were the first one in your class room. Your things were neatly placed on your desk and you double-checked your homework. Slowly the other students arrived one by one and soon the room was filled with laughter.
But it wasn't the "we're-all-having-a-good-time-laughter" but the laughter you hear when people make fun of someone.
You glanced over to the girl, who sat alone, her head resting on her desk. But you took a closer look and noticed that she was listening to music. The others kept on laughing and it seemed like the music couldn't fully block the voices from the girl's ears. You stood up and went over to the girl, tapping her shoulder softly.
The others went quiet. She looked up warily but when she saw it was you she smiled a little bit.
"Hey, Mina. I just wanted to tell, you that your new hairstyle looks great on you." A small and grateful smile lay on Mina's lips as she thanked you.
Whispers, disgusted looks, eye rolls.
They always reacted like that, since they thought that you just wanted to look nice and friendly all the time to have a good image. But that wasn't true. You just saw that Mina's confidence fell because of this childish behavior of your classmates. That was the reason why you complimented her.
Sometimes even such small words can make a whole day so much better.
You went back when your teacher entered. But instead of checking if everyone was attending he called a new student inside. The door opened and a girl went in. And of course you recognized her.
"Please introduce yourself and then sit in one of the empty seats."
"Hello, my name is Alisha. I hope we'll be friends." She bowed and looked through the class. For a split second her eyes met yours but she looked away quickly.
You sighed in relief because Alisha couldn't sit next to you. Your seatmate finally was a help for once.
Lunch break. A great time to catch up with your friends or to eat with a stranger. If he would show up....
You stood with your tray of food in the middle of the cafeteria, looking for Jin. You gave up after 15 minutes and sat down. But just a moment later, Jin appeared. He was panting as he sat down.
"I'm so sorry. There were some girls, who wouldn't let me go." Despite the sweat and his heavy breaths, he still looked handsome.
"Oh, it's okay."
"I wanted to treat you lunch, but you already paid, right?" You nodded and poked your food with your fork.
"How much was it? Let me give the money back to you."
"Oh! No, no, no, no-"
"Yes, I insist." Eventually you couldn't beat his stubbornness and let him pay you back.
Just like yesterday, Jin was powering down his food. He arrived after you but finished before you. He glanced to the entrance and gulped down his last bite of his meal before he looked at you again.
"It was nice to eat with you, but I have to go now. The girls will look here as well and I should be gone before that." And with that he jumped up and vanished into thin air.
What a weirdo.....
You continued to eat and dug out your book to study. Suddenly a tray was slammed onto your table and you flinched at the loud and unexpected sound. Your eyes grew wide when you saw who just scared the living hell out of you.
"I really thought he wouldn't show up."
"Yoongi?"
What a surprise. But did he have to scare you? Your eyes wandered from his figure to his tray and you frowned.
