Hermione was walking down the corridor. She wasn’t paying attention to where she was going because the tears running down her face were keeping her from seeing anything. She held her books close to her chest with her head down. Then she bumped into the last person she wanted to see. It was enough that he hated her already, but she couldn’t help but already get butterflies when she looked into his eyes.
"Watch where you're going, mud blood.'' Draco spat in her face. Then his eyes softened when he noticed she was crying. More tears welled up in her eyes. "Sorry." She muttered. She bent to pick up her books and quickly wipe her eyes. Draco swiftly bent down to pick up her books her. He was handing then Crabbe and Boyle called him. Meet me her in 20 minutes he whispered and left.
Hermione quickyly ran to her common room to neatly put up her books. She brushed her hair swiftly and left to meet at the same place as before. She waitted paitently wanting to know why Draco wanted to talk to her. She hummed quietly while she waited.
10 minutes later, Draco arrived in the same spot but in his evening robes. He shifted awkwardly from foot to foot. "Granger, I need your help."
"I like someone."
She was shocked. "I thought you fancied Pansy? And why are you asking me for help. You're always mean to me anyway." She raised her eyebrows
Draco rolled his eyes down at her. "I don't fancy Pansy, twit. And, I needed to talk to someone who won't judge me."
"I am appalled! Why do you expect me to not judge you when that's all you ever do to me! All I hear everyday is 'Mudblood' or 'Twat'!" She the crossed her arms over her chest and furrowed her eyebrows.
Draco clamped his hand over her mouth to shut her up.
Hey eyes widdened as she suddenly got the idea to bite him.
"Do you now have manners?! That is very rude of you!" she huffed.Draco hissed as he pulled his hand away."Maybe next time you won't put your hand over my mouth." She said simply. "Maybe I should just go."
"Shit, Hermione. I like Harry!" Draco spurred out without even thinking. His eyes widened he realized what he said.
Her eyes widdened. "Oh, so you're gay?... I should have known." She mummbled the last part as tears pulled in her eyes."Why are you crying?! If anyone should, I should be because I'm in love with a straight guy."
"I-I'm not crying. I ju-just have so-something in my eye." She stuttered as she reached up to rup her eyelid. She looked down at her feet and slowly clicked her heels together.
"I'm sorry. I don't know how I can help you with that." She said almost chocking on sobs.
"Stop it, twit. You're not fucking Dorothy from the fucking wizard of fucking Oz. I'm losing my mind here!!" He grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her. "Why can't you help me? Why can you make me normal?!"
"Draco! You're scaring me! What am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to 'make you normal'?" She was dizzy from him shaking her, so she sat down in the middle of the coridor. No one was out here anyway.
Draco grabbed his hair and sat down next to her.
He sighed and groaned in fustration.
She couldn't help but get nervous. She still felt the same feelings for him, but she didn't know why. She placed her head in her hands. "I'm sorry. I fancy you, Draco." she mumbled.
