"Oh no, not I, I will survive
Oh, as long as I know how to love, I know I'll stay alive.." Joseph wakes up to his favorite hit "I will survive" by Gloria Gaynor, he turns off his alarm and gets out of his twin sized bed. He heads into the kitchen to look at the calendar, to see what day it is of course.
"It's offically 1980. 30 more days until my birthday" he says. His mother, Jamie, is in the kitchen making pancakes for breakfast. "Joseph I told you about wearing your pajamas out here, you're not going to grow up like that." she says in a calm voice. My dad, Danny, walks into the room and pushes up his thin rimmed glasses. "Oh Jamie, why can he not wear his pajamas? They are the same color as his baby blue eyes." He says. Jamie flips the pancake in the air and it lands gracefully onto the pan once again. "Oh Danny I told you his eyes are grey, just look at them." Danny walks over to his son and turns his head so it faces his. "They look like the bright blue I said they were." He says. "You're the one who's wearing the glasses, Danny." She replied. Danny takes his hand away and turns to his wife. "Now what is that supposed to mean?" He chuckles. "Just saying you have glasses for a reason."
Joseph walks back to his bedroom to put on some clothes. He picks up a tye-dye shirt and ripped blue jeans. "Maybe I can tuck in my shirt so it doesn't look so long." Joseph grabs a black belt, tucks in his tye dye shirt, and puts on his belt. Lastly, he rolls up his pant legs to finish his look. It's time to head to school.
