x.
Shapeshifting, huh?
Yeah, right, you must be thinking, rolling your eyes and stuff.
Well think again.
Because for the whole 14 years of my existence, I've been transforming from a seemingly non-supernatural teenager into a very dangerous, very supernatural snow leopard.
For safety reasons, and to avoid breaking the Shapeshifting Laws, I won't give you my name. Only my location and my story.
The Alpha Summit only allowed me to give you a glimpse into the other half of my world - to explain what we do so that you stop bothering us and let us do our thing, since it's basically protecting you puny mortals from the evil monsters your pathetic technology can't defeat.
Now, shut your mouth.
I know how pathetic human technology is because, to put it bluntly, I was born into a filthy rich family of Shapeshifters.
I grew up surrounded by technology - first class etcetera, etcetera and that didn't matter much to us. It only made our lives more luxurious than most.
But we are still trained.
You mortals settle for putting yourself in the care of hired bodyguards that are still as volatile as you.
But we don't - we protect ourselves, but most of all... We protect each other.
That is the Shapeshifter Code.
We are allowed to have mortal friends, yes, as long as they can keep their traps shut.
In fact, Shapeshifters are everywhere.
We blend in perfectly, because we are basically half-human, half whatever we can shift to - and hell no, we aren't half-animal.
We are half-supernatural.
Our job is to defend everyone from the evils of the supernatural world - the mortal government and police, who are very much aware and rightfully grateful for our help, are in charge of every thing else.
Now, a history lesson cannot be in order - there is none.
There is no explanation for our existence - we just are.
So, lucky mortals, without further ado - here is my world.
